Easy installation and startup. Getting good soft water in the whole house. There was one hiccup after the initial startup, too much salt in the water. Neither the manual provided nor the various videos watched gave clear instruction on source water inflow and filtered water outflow for the top-down filter unit that I purchased. No one available during weekend installation. Frustrating to have a rocky start. Issues were finally resolved, and the final product seems decent. Tank and fittings appear sturdy and well-made. Clear documentation for the model I purchased would have been a big plus.

The install was very straightforward and the system seems to be working fine. It has corrected our scaling problem. I was a little annoyed when I adjusted the water hardness down by one level and the system reset the number of gallons used to zero. I did a manual backwash then to start the gallons clock after a backwash. We use about 50 gallons per day and the system is set to backwash at 2450 gallons or about every month and a half.

After ordering, I decided I wanted the KDF55 filter but it was too late to change the order. So I ordered the filter alone and installed it before I did the total installation. It was a good experience. It took very little time and I learned more about a water softener. I also took the opportunity to re-plumb my water supply and put another bypass valve in the system. I don’t have the before photos to show the difference this system made to my indoor and outdoor copper plumbing from my well but it made my life so much better and the blue dye that was staining all of our appliances, sinks, tubs, and showers has magically gone away almost immediately and the well water Ph level has definitely increased according to the water tests before and after. This is a great product and easy to install.
