I got the Mason Genie to better keep the pesto we make from our garden in the fridge (we make big batches and store them in quart jars). It works great! Super easy to use and the seal is really good. It's too early to tell how will it will extend the life of the pesto, but I definitely feel better being able to seal and re-seal those big jars after each use!

So far it seems to work well. Only been using it about a week. Simple to use. Might be a bit tough for people with low hand strength to get it off the jar once they have sealed it. But over all an excellent item.

I love my mason genie especially for seeds and berries. Strawberries last a week with hardly a blemish and they taste so good! That is If I don’t eat them first. I love this little machine. I use it all the time to seal my dry food stuff. Like dry beans in 1-2 serving size, bread ingredienents for a loaf except for the liquids, I use it when ever I can. I purchased 2, one for me and and one as a gift.

I had some older jars and while some were fine the Genie was incredibly sensitive to what looked fine with the naked eye but actually had a flaw, tiny flaws but enough to not give a good seal. Don't have pictures but the vacuum genie and bags work great. Have been sealing everything once I get home from shopping and it keeps the items so well. Now my cut apples don't turn brown when taking for lunches. Since the bags are reusable it works great to open then get out what you need and reseal to save for later. I hand wash my bags for reuse.

I was skeptical, but the Mason Genie is simple to use! It saves items from spoiling before we can use them, which saves us money in the long run! In 60-seconds, the jar is sealed. Lids can be reused many times, and you can use the jars you already have. No "specialty" lids needed, which I appreciate! It uses items I already have to keep food fresh.
