I wasn't impressed the first time I tried the Okumidori. It's has a subtle and sweet taste that requires enough tea leaves.
Having added a bit more tea leaves in the cup than for other stronger teas, the taste came to life.
It is now one of my favourite alongside the Tamaga no sate

This Kasugaen Asatsuyu sencha is delicious. It has a strong unique vegetal flavor with seaweed overtones. It is thick, brothy & gets very dark green with each successive steep. One of my favorite senchas for sure.

I find this cultivar much better than the other ones from Asamiya which I didn't like. Tastes like a forest, very refreshing and bold, more hay-like than sweet/umami, with a delicate bitterness which is not too intense. The smell is rather earthy / mineral, I think I recognize fallen leafs.

This matcha is so comforting! Drinking it feels like a warm hug. It doesn't have any distinct outliers in flavour, but it's well rounded and personally I would describe it as a deep comforting earthy flavour. Love this one, added to my faves!

Amazing tea!!! I buy from niotea quite a bit and always love the products. This last shipment however arrived to the wrong house even with giving the correct address. Which is fine because mistakes happen but, I had to reach out a few times before they resent the order. Which was a little annoying. I will certainly continue shopping with them, I just hope they fix mistakes faster in the future.

This is my first ever expereience with true, from Japan green tea. The look and smell of the dried leaves was something new and exciting. The brew, following proper method and temperature, was slightly sweet, aromatic, and extremely enjoyable sans sweetener. The second and third brews were eaqually as enjoyable. Amazing value. I have my favourite daily matcha for years but this is great way to try new matchas. Just wish I would've found this before my last trip to Japan and it was so overwhelming there and this would've helped for sure. We have such limited matcha options at home it was great to finally learn what umami, vegetal and astringency tasted like for matcha. Highly recommend

Arrived a day early, beautiful craftsmenship and an authentic red shudei clay tokoname not a knock off.
Works exceptionally, i used 5g of loose leaf kabusecha with 6oz water at 170f temp, the pour was perfect, no clogging and the liqour was nearly 100% clear, they clay rounds out the taste of the tea making it less bitter. Very satisfied with this kyusu!

A very enjoyable sencha. Although it is vegetal, I find it surprisingly pleasant and manageable with a tinge of fruity note and delightful sweetness. It has a stronger mouthfeel compared to the previous sencha I tried. I find it hard to really describe this tea but I would say it is very well balanced.

I love this tea. I use it mostly as a cold brew because it has a wonderful vegetable taste. It tastes so healthy, and the green color is gorgeous. Before a long drive, I will cold brew about 40 ounces and drink it along the way. If I am sitting at my desk for a while, I will do the same. I highly recommend this tea for anyone who likes Japanese Green Tea, especially very green tea, colorwise.

I dont have the first infusion quite down yet. Instead of a very sweet taste it has weird taste and mouthfeel I cant quite describe which also remains in my mouth quite a while and I dont really like it as I was really hoping for the promised sweetness.
