Following my 3rd night in the Haven Tent Safari, I have to give it 5 stars. It probably provides the best night camping I have ever had in over 50 years, other than in a trailer. I had given up on hammock camping. I'd never really been comfortable due to the fact that I'm a side sleeper. I had resided to being a ground dweller forever more. I got my Haven tent at the end of June, and by the middle of July, I had spent a weekend camping and 4000 km of motorcycle riding, sleeping in it every night. Very easy setup that was easier and quicker each time I did it. Except for my last night of the bike trip, setting it up after dark in rocky mountain forest using whoopie slings. I purchased 2 of the safari hammock tents with insulated pads...whoppie string... ridge lights and pump charger in November. It's now spring and we are putting them up. My rating....11 out of ten. I am a large man and on my side I slept like a king floating on air. With the rain flap in storm mode you can go through a downpour and stay 100 dry. The shipping was prompt. First experience using Haven tent. I took it on a four day wild-country canoe camping trip in a remote area of Quebec. The tent is easy to set up (10 minutes), and the construction is high quality. Getting in and out of the hammock for this 59 year old man is far easier than crawling in and out of a tent! I bought the XL back in November for a trip to the Amazon in Ecuador. A week before I left I contacted Customer service and told them I needed the Powerpack. They sent it out to me right away. Precision made with high quality materials, the Spectre works wonderfully. Lying flat on the soft mattress with see through mesh all around is very comfortable and relaxing with much better comfort with less limitation of movement or feeling squeezed or restricted. Unfortunately i never got to use the.new pad design . Our home with four generations iliving in it burned to the.ground. All of us including all animals made it out safe. The Haven xl system and new pad along with the rest of of our memories did not make it . I've been following this company since they kick-started a few years ago, but wasn't in a position to buy one due to location. Finally purchased one, and I have to say that I am beyond impressed. Had wonderful sleep each night! I’ll admit that I rolled the hammock twice over 5 days which kind of put me in the corner. Somehow still slept 4 more hours with my face pressed up against the mesh. That should speak for itself for the hammocks comfort. Really enjoyable experience. Getting buck naked outside of the hammock every morning to change was interesting, but not a deal breaker.
