Main take away is it’s very easy and quick to setup once you figured it out. Probably takes me 5 mins to setup and 3 mins to take down. I've been eying hammocks lately and upgrading my gear. Our scout troop is getting ready to ramp up for backpacking, and we just had our first camp in March for the newly crossed-over scouts. I’ve been camping with a hammock for the last ten years. It’s why I can still go camping at 70 because i don’t sleep on the ground anymore. I started with the Ridgeline then moved to the REI quarter dome which was a better system. I would still be using it but the bug net ripped and REI discontinued it. Loving my early Christmas gift, the radically light weight Spectre. The Haven Hammock is a game changer. I have used a single and double nested ENO hammock for about 13 years, which are great because of how compact they are, but I have always had issues with my ground pad moving around while sleeping. Had a fantastic first outing with my haven xl. I spent several days canoeing in the bayous of Louisiana and lakes in Arkansas. It was easy to set up and kept me up off the wet ground in a cypress swamp as well as kept me dry through hours of rain. So comfortable, I slept every night as well as I do in my own bed, except for the one night I accidentally set up in a grove of wild pecan trees that kept dropping nuts all night. I recently spent a night camping at 2°F in the Haven XL with the insulated pad and cover, and it was fantastic. Super comfortable, and the added insulation of the pad cover really helped a lot.
