Works well, though instructions for install are pretty poor, cutting the section perfectly straight would not be easy for the average person, but it does the job. Default screw holes were not in a good position and hit internal parts of the door insert.

We are really happy with our aluminium framed pet door. We have searched for so long for the right size to fit into our French door panel and the small pet door was perfect. Because the door was going into 4mm Perspex, there was a fair bit of excess in the depth so I needed to trim the frame. I had a little bit of trouble reducing the excess of the side fins which were left protruding on the outside but a pair of tin snips and angel grinder helped fix this issue. Absolute love the pet door insert. I have put up with being door-person for my cat Nukie's numerous outings outside during the night to toilet/fresh air. Now, I have undisturbed night sleep! The magnetic plastic flap was so secure Nukie just sat and looked at it, waiting for flap-person to operate it. I have since used fishing line to hook the flap to the mid bolts, and valcroed homesewn denim flaps in place. The plastic flap is still easily useable.

While the door ideal and my dig is using i made the mistake of not taking into account thr width of my doors. So now the problem is I have only 26cm for myself to get through siding door. Fits well for the space and allows us to let the cats and dog roam in and out without needing to leave the door open for them! Love that the flap can attach to top of the door for the cats that don't seem to be able to push through the magnetic catch while closed. Hopefully they'll learn to use the flap properly soon!

Have you thought about engaging with the mayor sliding door manufacturers to see if they would be interested in offering your product as an option for their door offerings especially on new builds and renovations. Yes it might mean that you have to update your colour selection options but I being a dog owner would be very interested in knowing the pet door can be an inclusion in my new build or renovation. I had to get a different colour than originally ordered as my order delivery kept getting pushed out due to lack of stock. The team were incredibly helpful and if receiving the panel wasn’t time sensitive, I would have been happy to wait. They quickly organised a different colour and it was swiftly delivered. It has been amazing. The weather seals don’t work super well with my door (which I believe is on an angle and not an issue with the panel itself) so I’m looking into different options now...

The door is perfect for a renter, and is very transportable for someone who lives in two cities and has two homes..so is compact enough to put in the car and reassemble at the other end. I had bought a doggy door from another place initially but my dog had to take a large step over the raised ledge to get out and back in which then meant she was too tall for the opening despite being the right size. This is the best doggy door for our big AMSTAF. He comes in and out when he wants during the day and night. We use to leave the sliding door ajar for him and we had birds coming in to eat his food which he didn’t like and so we a mess to clean up when we came home.
