I bought the pet door and fitted it in the sliding door temporarily. Then I had a custom made sliding door to fit in the pet door. I also bought an extra extension piece as the door I had made was extra high. Zeckie my beautiful labrador loves it. Quality is much better than Bunnings.

La Luna pet door is solidly made and quite sturdy once fitted. It took longer than 15mins to install as advertised but once done I’m very happy. Rubber seals make it weather tight. My Cavoodle took a week to actually use it but now loves it. My dog weighs 5kg and only small but I decided on medium size door after taking measurements which I would. recommend.

The La Luna pet door is great and was easy to install. It does seem however, that either the pet door insert or my door frame is slightly crooked because there is a gap where the door closes against the insert at the bottom of the frame. The gap was quite significant when I applied the rubber weather strips to both the door and the pet door insert. To minimize the gap I’ve removed the weather strip from the pet door insert.

This dog door is perfect for our greyhound who likes to go outside at 3am! It took a few home-made amendments to move the original sliding door catch to the new frame but we got there in the end (our sliding door is probably quite old so the catch was not compatible). Now I can sleep all night without having to get up for the dog!

We bought the original door system about 14 years ago but probably should have replaced the flap anywhere from about year 12 onwards. The replacement fits perfectly and was easy to install. Ironically as it's so clear (again) that it freaked our 15 year old dog out a little bit ! All ok now.

I installed the door into a 2400mm high heavy duty double glazed sliding door on the seventh floor of a new apartment building. The door frame width was 40mm, so your 15mm frame needed additional seals. The existing door lock plate was 17mm wide, so did not fit inside your door frame - more seals because the lock was now leaving a 15mm gap between your door and the existing. Many headaches, not perfection, but just OK.
