The locking tongue on the fitted dog door is short and the door will not lock at all. Also the locking screws are loose and wont tighten into dog door.

The replacement strips are great and needed as we moved house - unfortunately for us they are made for the standard sized door and we have extender panels on our frame, so the strips didn’t quite make it the entire frame - left with a little gap!

Some suggestions on how to train our little friends to use the pet door would be helpful. Now we have finally got there and our little boy has worked it out and is no longer afraid of the door, I am happy with this product. Unfortunately he doesn’t speak English and I don’t speak Doglish, so communication can be slow and difficult.

We’ll build! - sturdy, quite heavy actually. Although power tools are required to install this panel especially drilling into steel especially apartments. A bit tricky for someone’s new to DIY. - definitely needed a handyman to properly install. It would have been handy if the company still have access to handymans that knows how to install the panel but unfortunately they have stopped providing this optional service.

I have just contacted La Luna we had a little trouble installing.
Firstly I think we installed the weather shield incorrectly and also there is an air leak at end of sliding door ( opposite end to where opens)

Seems slightly longer than the original one, just enough to be resting and scraping on the ledge every time my dog goes through, whereas the original one just swung feeling just suspended 1-2mm above and held in place by the magnetic force.

We have had a La Luna door for ages, and realised the flap was really discoloured and needed a change. We ordered a replacement flap. It arrived very quickly (even to Darwin!).
I watched a support video, which make the change look really easy...like a 15min job. Word to the wise...if you haven't changed the flap for years, or you live in a very hot climate, the plastic can melt and fuse to the door itself. I'm giving 4 stars because it is pretty well described on the product page, but I was expecting something better, so it's my fault really.
The vegan leather isn't very convincing and feels more like plastic.
The leash length is mentioned on the product page, but after using it I noticed I need about another 30cm or more.

Purchased this for my senior cat. It is very good. He is enclosed so can't jump out and he is happy to sit and look out as we walk. It was incredibly easy to put together and importantly it is easy to push and a good height. I couldn't find how to attach the cup holder, but that is not important. The comfort and security of my cat is the most important and this works wonderfully.

Two things - Took some adjustments to fit. But got it in the end. Not easy!
U do have to drill 2 holes on your actual aluminium frame!! So u will have to get permission from the owner.
The extensions are a different grey than the door, which is very disappointing.
Otherwise, does its job and looks great.

I don't recommend for medium and smaller dogs.
The pouch is too heavy and weighs down the leash, and it's also quite large/bulky so just gets in the way.
I'm giving the benefit of the doubt where maybe a bigger dog would hold some of the weight for the owner (I don't know how, I'm just trying to be optimistic.)
For reference - my maltese-Shih Tzu is a medium dog according to the La Luna collar sizes.

The door insert doesn’t fit perfectly into a double glazed sliding door track. Some adjustment was needed one end to stabilise and straighten. A short piece of dowell was used for this which fitted within the track cavity at the bottom, one end, to straighten the insert.
