Customer photo review of Screen Door Adapter
Breeanna M.Verified
Don’t like that the screen door adapter came in 2 pieces and no matter how hard we tried we couldn’t get the 2 pieces flush together so there is a small gap in between the top and bottom half, the grooves that go into the pet door took a lot of banging with a rubber mallet to get in and were no where near as “easy” to actually get into the door and the black coating came off in some parts. There were already 2 bits of coating missing when we unboxed it. There was no where to put the weather se...

It’s a great product, yes. But it isn’t easy to put together at all. You need 2 people, strength and patience! Getting the netting on was difficult and putting the last poles on to make the square was almost impossible for us, personally. Then after fully putting it together, I noticed the netting had already started to rip. Not happy, but also not returning it because I won’t be putting another one back together!

Thankfully my partner can weld so we had to do a significant amount of change to ensure this fitted to door although we had bought extenders. The door did t adjust as demonstrated in instructions so unsure if we were missing a component.

I really like the quality of the door and the extensions i’ve giving a low score because the extensions didn’t come with any instructions how to install them and the screws didn’t fit. I’m not even sure i installed them correctly

Love the idea of the door but am unable to secure it as I need a narrow strike plate to accommodate my SD7 strike plate. The channel for the dog door is only 15 mm where and the standard SD7 strike plate is 19mm. Also due to part to fit most standard door heights being wider - I am unable to get this part into the door track so I had to raise my screen door approx 3cm so there was no gap. I know that the 2nd issue has nothing to do with the dog door, but I am unable to securely lock my screen do...

Magnet on flap has already broken off in less than three weeks. La Luna is not offering any support even after they took four weeks to supple the door in the first place. Not really impressed.

The doggy door itself is great and the set up was easy enough. Unfortunately the screw holes on the extension pieces were not even close to lining up and I had to use my own drill and different screws to make it all work. I flagged this with the team and to their credit they got back to me quickly but didn't offer to have someone come out to fix this for me.

The panels do not align with the holes, so as result the frame is out of proportioneven if it is a small margin it makes a huge difference when you inserted next to the sliding door, there is a gap you can see. I don't like returning items, but I would like returning this door and get my money back.

Gap at the top and bottom which is unsatisfactory and isn’t not considered a security door which had the security adapter. So yeah not very happy. Also was sent folding ie two piece which I don’t ask for. Disappointed customer

The door cannot be installed using temporary security bar if you have this patio door. Too long. If you do install using alternative bar you will not be able to use patio door as gap is too small to exit. You also get a 5cm gap b/w doors, freezing air in. This needs to go on website. Very disappointed. Now I have pay to return
