We are really happy with our aluminium framed pet door. We have searched for so long for the right size to fit into our French door panel and the small pet door was perfect. Because the door was going into 4mm Perspex, there was a fair bit of excess in the depth so I needed to trim the frame. I had a little bit of trouble reducing the excess of the side fins which were left protruding on the outside but a pair of tin snips and angel grinder helped fix this issue. Fairly well designed product, it does seem reasonably sturdy. However, despite purchasing the security pack, the kit did not come with a latch to suit my very common in-line style sliding door lock, only an adaptor plate to suit locks mounted to the front of the door. It's very disappointing to pay this much for a product and then have to order something additional, pay more shipping, wait for it to arrive before you can finish the installation. Instructions both video and hard copy booklet were next to useless, and quite inaccurate. Specifically how to install extension pieces. My handyman who has installed plenty of dead g doors was also scratching his head in disbelief. amd the screen door adapter didn’t fit it wasn’t wide about for my wife track. Wasted money there. I now have the dog door fitted and it works but cannot close the screen door as unable to use adapter.

The instructions are not explicit enough for me to be able to install the door. I’ve spent hours, searched YouTube videos and asked others to help but still I don’t know how to install the door so I can lock it securely. It has to be done by tomorrow and I’m at my wits end. Door does not sit flush with frame. Significantly larger gap at bottom than top, too large to “fill” with foam weather seal. The extension you advised me to get slips as there is no alternative hole to put the screws in to secure it at the non standard height required. The instructions for installation and videos were poor and difficult to follow. Otherwise I think the product would be ok

The panels do not align with the holes, so as result the frame is out of proportioneven if it is a small margin it makes a huge difference when you inserted next to the sliding door, there is a gap you can see. I don't like returning items, but I would like returning this door and get my money back.

The design is a bit flimsy and quality is lower than expected for the price, I couldn’t figure out how to reinstall my lock either, but will get a bar lock. I will get an install done on the glass in future, this works for now, but would recommend spending the money and getting a permanent dog door installed.

We live in the Pilbara, so opted for the outlet priced door to help recoup dollars towards the shipping - am honestly just happy that these guys ship here, a lot of companies don't. The folded design made the carton easy enough to move and manoeuvre, and we really couldn't see any problems/damage to the door. The dog took to it straight away. So now we don't have to choose between locking him in the house all day to keep him cool, or leaving a door partially open and coming home to a furnace....

The door is perfect for a renter, and is very transportable for someone who lives in two cities and has two homes..so is compact enough to put in the car and reassemble at the other end. Dog loves it most importantly and uses it with ease! I will say the metal door stopper should be more flexible in its length..as I cannot presently use it and cannot cut it..and got a 4 dollar solution from temu that does the same thing perfectly..perhaps if it had different attachments to lengthen and shorten...

The installer tried his best to put the door in properly but unfortunately there is a slight gap and I can't lock the door. He said our door wasn't straight. If I had of realised I wouldn't have paid so much. I should have paid someone to put a doggy door in a different spot.
