This is my first time making a pair of socks. The video was really useful to help guide me get started and through the crocheting of the heel. I also followed the pattern, it was very clear. I love the fact that all the information you need is in one small booklet. I prefer hard copies of patterns. I am only a size 4 shoe size, so I made the small socks. This is my first box from Lotte and Albert. Found the instructions very easy to follow. Love how the hexagons tessellate and are made more prominent by having some filled and others not. The bees I trialled making and attaching straight onto the bag, as shown in the pattern; also, off the bag and sewing them on after. Just received this beautiful book, full of so many gorgeous projects. It’s difficult to pick a favourite, but the Geo hat is a perfect example of being able to try out new techniques on a manageable project, the instructions and image related to the stitches are brilliant and so easy to follow. I really enjoyed being challenged with techniques (mosaic) I haven’t tried before. As well as making hanging pots, which I wouldn’t’ve attempted if the project wasn’t popped through the letterbox with all the necessary bits and pieces. The extras like the lovely stitch marker really make the experience, feel a bit more lux. I have purchased a couple of other crochet subscription boxes over the recent years, I initially thought that the cost of this one was a little pricey compared with others. That being said, I think the best feature of this company is that you can see what the item will be before you purchase, and pause that month if you so wish.
