Customer photo review of Custom Pet Paint By Numbers

Dorothy

It was a lot of fun to do but I think I ordered it in too big of a size. It was a lot of work painting that big canvas with a little teeny tiny brush, but I liked it a lot and I will buy more. The only criticism I have is I wish the paints were more opaque. I really had to build them up and it actually created a neat texture in order to cover the numbers

I am so thrilled with my paint by numbers. It is so incredible and is already hung up in my home. This photo was from our wedding and having it as a painting is amazing!

The kit met the my two requirements for a good painting. First, the canvas arrived rolled which eliminated ironing Then The paint itself was uniformly smooth with no dry pots. This was a fun picture to paint.

This was a fun painting. Everything in the kit worked out including the quality of the paint and canvas. As usual with impressionist replicas, you have to refer to the printed reference sheet and accompanying photo to come close to the detail of the original. But for me, improvising is the fun part.

If you like painting impressionist reproductions you will like this painting. I found the paint quality excellent for the job. The detail on this painting is substantial and the creamy paint made filling in the cells a breeze. Overall painting this classic was a pleasure.

I was concerned about the result would look cartoonish. I am so pleased with the result. I painted a picture of my son and his fiancé for a surprise wedding gift. It turned out beautifully and realistic. I ordered the most detail of 48 colors. I will definitely be ordering again.

Resolution is fantastic. Numbers can be hard to read in some small sections, even when magnified on my phone! But it's the many small sections that make the resolution so great. This was a fun activity with a beautiful result! Delivery was ahead of schedule which was a plus as I ordered it late.

I took this picture at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was there years ago when my 5 kids were little and didn't really get to absorb and enjoy all that there was to see and learn. I had the chance to go back recently without kids and I took this picture on the way in. I have it being framed now at Michael's and I can't wait to display it in my house. I already ordered another one to paint. A close up black and white of one of my granddaughters. I plan to do three blac...

Painting by color is very relaxing and the result is beautiful. The color division is very clear so there is no way to go wrong or be confused about which color should go where. The paints are smooth and the package is perfectly labeled to facilitate the process.

It took a long time but I always looked forward to working on it. The details are so tiny I almost always used the smallest brush (maybe more relevant with 48 colors and because of the trees). I did need to use water to thin some of the colors because some were quite thick, but I got the hang of that.

I got this as a gift for my sister-in-law, and I was thrilled with the result! She got emotional and overwhelmed when she received it, which made the gift even more special. I absolutely loved the end product. Thank you, 1001, for this amazing gift idea!

It was challenging in painting the kings robes and some of the paint could have covered better. I had to paint over the sky a couple of times. Overall it’s absolutely gorgeous and I’m proud to give as a gift of love!

Great stress reliever and great gift I didn't realize the picture I chose would have such color variations. The painstaking detail it took to give it depth and make it look real was well worth it. A friend thought it was an actual picture! It was a Christmas present for my son and his girlfriend.. a picture of their dog, my spoiled grand fur baby!

I love the extra amounts of paint & I found that even your lighter colors were not so opaque,so I didn’t have to go over all the lines and numbers twice. The detail was amazing. Thank you. Just wish these kits would come with 2 very fine brushes. Having just one, wears it out & the project becomes a job.

It's still a little rough , but I'm almost done with my painting of a Dodge Viper from the IMSA series . I really like that I can paint pictures that I like. It has really been great especially over weekends when I'm still house bound and can't go out.

Thank you 1001 canvas for making this original painting of my brother-in-law, Pat, as Santa. Pat has attended several years of Santa school and is such a great Santa! Great gift idea! This company has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. If you purchase a kit I recommend buying a “framed” print. Framed means it’s on a canvas, not actually framed. Otherwise it’s rolled up and not as easy to paint. Also purchase a clear guesso to paint over the canvas first. It’ll make the paint glide on easier

I ordered a portrait of myself and my mom, and the result was incredible. The canvas was clear, the paint quality was great, and the final painting looked like something you’d buy from an art studio. It made such a heartfelt gift. This is definitely one of the most unique and personal items I’ve ever purchased.

This is my third painting but my first from one of my own photographs. I have enjoyed working on all of them but this one was special as the subject means a lot to me. Very clever on 1001’s part and very satisfying on mine.

Nice, but a little too much detail. Standard paint by number pieces take me about 4 days to complete. Custom photos take 10 - 14 days. Painting segments are way too small, often don't differ much from adjacent areas. Less detail is better.
