I received these samples yesterday. The colors on the website are definitely different than what they really are. For $50 each (outrageous!) I expected larger pieces. It would be nice to get the $100 I spent on the samples off the price of the mantel I intend to order.

The finish is beautiful, but scratches easily, which was not what I was told (‘you wouldn’t want to scratch it with a diamond, but it’s very sturdy’) when I was inquiring before I placed my order. Overall, the screen is very heavy and well made. Very pleased.

The doors are nice. The quality control wasn’t great. Half of the clamps that hold the glass secure were loose. I noticed only when one slipped down and actually kept the door from
closing. I had to go around and tighten them all with a screwdriver. For the price someone could check their work.
