Installation took about 20 minutes — the pressure mount system is super easy, just 4 screws to keep the doors tight in the opening. The forged iron color looks amazing and really finishes the fireplace.

We love our mantel! The wood screws they sent did not seem like enough to secure it to our fireplace so we used some lag bolts instead but the mantel itself looks great (personal opinion). It did arrive damaged but it was replaced, the customer service was fantastic. I recommend Exceptional Fire, the mantel is awesome and they were great to deal with.

This replaced a 10+ year old crappy bronze looking fireplace cover/doors. I LOVE that i no longer have to deal with a pull chain mesh system and I now have metal mesh doors to keep all the sparks inside the fireplace. This thing is pretty heavy, installation took maybe 20-25 minutes by myself.

The door arrived with the left and right doors misaligned and one of the bolts did not fit into the hole for attaching one of the straps that attaches to the inside wall of the fireplace. There was instruction attached to the box to notify the manufacturer of any issue...

Love the style and heaviness of the fireplace-tools stand, but the material used in making the brush seems to be a very light metal and was slightly dented. The shovel feels like the same light material. I hope it survives lifting the ashes this winter.

The glass screen is indeed beautiful, but the metal frame is off just a hair at the bottom. No biggie, but I am a little surprised, as it’s otherwise very well made.
