I would NEVER do business with Exceptional Fire again!! First insert arrived with a TON of damage. The replacement arrived and still has scratches on some of the black parts. One of the most frustrating parts though, the lead anchors. They are a JOKE!!! Every one of them would just spin in the holes. And yes, the holes were drilled the correct size. At this point, still trying to figure out what to do to get it installed!!!!

I ordered a 72" non-combustible mantel by Design Specialties. When it did not ship I was told that it broke and I was asked if I would take the mantel with straps. After it arrived, I saw that it came with corbels and there were 4 holes in the bottom of the mantel to connect the corbels. The corbels will not work for me, but I was told that they were 'optional'. I said they were only 'optional' if you did not mind having 4 holes in the bottom of the mantel. Nice product idea but implementation is lacking. Measuring to insert a hard metal object into a hard opening requires extreme precision. When I asked how they make sure the unit will fit into the opening I was told it would be made 1/8" smaller but when it arrived it was 1/8" larger. The opening is tile over brick so there's no enlarging it. They quickly agreed to remake the frame - a big positive! However, that does mean I have to disassemble the unit and reassemble the doors in the new frame. ...

I am sorry to say for $1000, this an extremely low quality piece of merchandise and we would like to return it. From the weight to the build quality, we are extremely disappointed. Even the screw holes for the stand don’t allow the screen to be upright and vertical completely. How can we get this? Returned to you and refunded?

I am overall happy with the quality and timeliness. The one issue I have is that I think the flange on the inside should have been closer to the dimension I had sent and the border should have overlapped the stone more. It barely covers the stone so from the side there is apparent gaps. For example, the flanges measure a little over 39 wide where the opening I supplied is 41. So the wide trim only overhangs by about 1/2” some of the more irregular stones. I had ordered he wide trim to avoid...
