I purchased two identical custom heavy ice rods and couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. It’s only June so I haven’t been able to get out and use them yet but I’m already looking forward to hardwater season. I spent a lot of time looking for a quality lake trout ice rod and MAGs delivered exactly that. I’ll be placing an order for 4-6 more of these before seasons here. I used the rod for jigging walleyes on lake Erie. The first four trips I out fished my two buddies. Not only was the rod sensitive enough to fill that light bite it had enough back bone to set the hook. I may need to find different fishing buddies.

Have not got to use it fishing yet. I love the design and the sensitivity just messing with it after putting the Piscifun Viper X on it. Pat and his crew did an excellent job with the colors, American Flag and my US Navy sticker on it. I will update and put photos on my review after I get out on the water and catch some fish. 5th and 6th rods I've bought from mags. Love all the rods they are great, I have 2 lake trout jigging rods and 2 panfish, these most recent will be my walleye rods. The laker rods were the first I bought years ago, the handles are showing some wear some white fibers are showing through and one grip is starting to peel a bit. Overall amazing rods though lots of flex but lots of backbone too.

I am using my new rod for targeting walleye on my live scope and it's first trip out was nothing short of great! I caught 12 and kept 2 for dinner.
