Both of my Mag Rods have been well designed and constructed with quality craftsmanship. They are very eye appealing but more importantly prove to be very effective in catching fish. They both are very sensitive but at the same time provide the backbone needed to land big fish. I highly recommend for the serious fisherman as well as the beginner. Well worth the money. Kurt. Fit and finish of the rod was awesome. Ordered one of the custom carbons. My second Mags. Used my first one for fishing burbot on Winnebago las year. Haven't had a chance to use the new carbon yet. No ice here in Madison.

I have 2 of these and plan on getting a few more. Very versatile rod, I use it for multispecies. Just the right amount of sensitivity to feel what's going on but still enough back bone to get the job done. Also they are very light weight.

This winter I tried out a friends carbon ice rod and loved the sensitivity of it and the great hookset I got from it. when I ordered mine it arrived very quickly, but the ice was leaving even faster so I didnt get to use mine yet. looking forward to next winter already but I will be getting an open water rod before that. Only had the pleasure of using my new rod a couple of times since I received it a couple of weeks ago. Worked great throwing some heavier swim baits for walleye. Nice balance in working the lure and Even better sensitivity. You can feel anything your lure would hit.

This is my second power noodle and I love them for pan fishing the ice. I do have a complaint this time around with the purchase. I bought this rod threw a picture only and I thought it was black. It's actually purple. Better description would have been ideal.
