Very well designed with one exception. Goes together well, solid. Easy installation. Attach the brackets to the rails firmly, and put the rails on the posts loosely to measure for placement. The brackets have extra threaded metal for the bolts to make them attach firm and strong. The one minor problem is the self-tapping screws that fix the rails inside their brackets once everything is in place. You can start them with a power driver, but just to get them started. My front porch was in serious need of new decking. I chose Trex, but I really needed to add some rails to the stairs for safety and to help a few friends with aging knees make it to the front door. I recently expanded and remodeled the decks on my cabin. Most people use wood rails from logs. I wanted something people could grab and not get splinters. I think these stair rails look terrific and they blend well with the logs and deck. I purchased the larger set a few months ago and the smaller set a few weeks ago. When I received the new set, the handrail did not match the original set, due to a design update. I contacted the manufacturer, CR Handrail and they sent me the matching handrails!...

Ended up with 3 sets for steps and 1 flat rail. Everything worked fine, did cut 15" off one post for knee wall,worked out great.
