After a lot of swapping between blades Iβve come to the conclusion that the blue blades are the most efficient and give the longest runtime.
Testing throttle % required to remain on foil in still conditions produced the following data.
Black 60-61%
Grey 55-56%
Blue 54-55%
I also found the blue blades easier to ride slower when obtaining this data.
This efficiency also showed in overall runtime, with the blue blades giving me a 1 hour session or more of upwind/downwind, finishing with 10% bat...

I just took my new Takuma carver 2 on the water today for the very first time, I come from a waydoo so I need some adjustments to do especially with the new remote and to take off putting more weight on the front of the board but I was flying on my knees today, next step will be standing up, I canβt wait.

Loving the foil drive. Glad I went with the high power option. I'm a beginner on the efoil and managing around 48mins on the battery.
I think this will definitely accelerate my foiling learning curve. A lot of things in kit.
Initially missing grease and wrist lanyard but these were quickly shipped.
Once I had these I completed the set up. Only during that did I realise padding between cable and foil missing. Used some foam for now but hopefully will get this part sent soon.

Dropped 23lt down to 65lt, around my weight and was sceptical, but first time on the new board was great and even easier than the big chunky board.
Love the concave deck, the roomy nose which is so forgiving, super light weight and easiest pop out of the water.
If youβre thinking of going to your weight in volume, this board makes it so easy and so much fun, just do it!!

even though I love the new style controller....and it has helped my popups using the gear mode...which is enough in itself........I had to do some adjusting by way of removing the finger guard for the time being. Apart from that I was puzzled as to why the controller only came in a cardboard box when its been advertised as including a nifty kit case which has the allen key and spare finger guard etc included.?
Anyway as stated above the gear mode once trained to is a boon for intermediates and ...

Used gear three for getting up and skimming around looking for waves. Very smooth, just concentrating on the foil and height.

10's.....good excellent.....as advised by FD...the bottom end takeoff in 2nd gear slightly less snappy and is more smooth stable for popping up, as the props grip more water than the standard props.......then gear up to 3 then to 4 to 5 for lift then gear back to 4 for most of the session until power charge diminishes...then gear up to 5 for the rest of the session.....top end is definitely more robust like overdrive..thats on a Max HiPower unit though.....

Tested the 6.1m Takuma Tanji in the backyard in a very strong westerly and it felt really comfortable. Felt a bit heavy compared to my Armstrong 4.6 but this was a much bigger wing that felt stable and the front handle design made it easy to switch from overhand to underhand grip.
Yesterday I tested the 6.1m in a light to Moderate NE at Gerroa and it was a pleasure to use! Very stable, forgiving in light gusts and quick to get up on foil. Great value!

Using the S version (87) and can say itβs impressive - that new shape is perfect for high intensity paddle up without losing any power, you can then think about using smaller foil if you got the confidence in your paddle up !

Nice!!!!! this is a number one upgrade. Provides more thrust at lower power gearing, its quieter gives better battery runtime and folds up as soon as you take your finger off the trigger. Ive noticed on of the great advantages is the kit comes with a new longer stabiliser support. This means the stabiliser is a little further away, under the folding prop. Totally next level. Itβs like going from a longboard to a shortboard. Super loose when using in conjunction with my explorer wind and folding prop. Iβve also had to put the power level up from 9 to 14/15 for the same speed to catch small waves/swell. Iβm also getting longer battery life, out for an hour and still had 4 bars left.

What a fun little stabiliser. I use it with patroller and glide wings and the folding prop. Compared to the standard plastic stabiliser it has way better smoothness and better pitch and yaw control, meaning cornering control is much better and feels nice and positive. The board feels more alive and connected but still more predictable. Love it

I know it's not Future movement that makes the call on screws been a part of the prop upgrade but it seems crazy that with new props the screws are not included. Seems crazy having brand new holes with old gear
