Absolutely loved this dress which received so many compliments! I took a risk ordering a rental for the first time, living in Vancouver, and hoping it would work for a gala. The structure is beautiful and the fit is mostly true to size. I ordered a size 8 and it was slightly big in the bust but an easy fix. I am 5’9’’ and wore flats, and it was exactly floor-length. I was also very impressed with Fitzroy. The dress arrived days before it was expected. I will definitely be renting from them again...

The shopping experience was flawless. I didn’t try on or have my dress until a few days before the event, but I was fully confident in my choice at renting from the Fitzroy. This dress was SO comfy and soft. The velvet is stretchy, so while I'm normally a size 12 (sometimes 14 depending on the brand) I fit very comfortably in a 10 for this beauty. For the event, I paired it with a pearl necklace and earrings and a little vintage 60s clutch with a pearl clasp. I rented this dress for a Masquerade Ball it was perfect! I got many compliments. I am 54 and 5 feet 8 and 140 lbs I went with the size 6 ( I am a 34C and a 29 inch waist) it was a bit loose in waist but didn’t affect the look just might have sat up a bit higher but the bust area was perfect - I was too nervous to order the 4.. but it probably would of been fine.
