Love these things! I always have one when I’m hiking or backpacking and this is the only fire starter I ever use. It’s so easy to use and only needs a little bit. I’ll never use anything else!

They don’t burn for 10 minutes like I heard they would but they will catch fire and burn in damn near any condition. Amazing product. Very very easy to light! Love them!

I bought them for my two sons who are active in youth groups who spend a lot of time in the outdoors camping. While they go out on there camping trips they need the right kind of gear. Not knowing how exactly it works i bought it because it looked like a great tool to have. Christmas morning my boys and I tried it out in the moist bitter cold outside and it lit up like a champ. Very impressed with the way it works lightness and simplicity of it.

I bought this for my roommate as a Christmas gift to help get our pellet stove lit. These work great! Easy to use and start and they stay lit long enough to get the pellets burning. I HIGHLY recommend this product for all your fire starting needs.

With the world changing every day. I have started to create a survival pack just in case it’s needed. One thing that will definitely be necessary is the ability to make a fire. The kit provides a few different methods to ignite the fire. I haven’t yet, but I plan to test a piece of the fire starter sticks to make sure they do what they are supposed to. The kit was offered at a great price during the holidays. I’m sure it will offer be there and work when needed.

I'm feeling secure in the fact starting a fire won't be an issue with my Pirates Plunder pack now stashed in my bug out box. The lighter worked instantly and didn't need a charge. The Ferro Rod is better than a light saber for accidentally lighting your living room rug on fire. All around I love the pack!

I ordered the ferro rod and plugs and was skeptical they would work as good as advertised. It was windy and wet outside so I gave it a try. First strike I had flame!! I will never need matches again. I love how long the plugs burn and the amount of flame they put out to help start a fire. I’m a believer!!

Just as described, cut off the stick how much you think need, which isn't much to get you going, clear off the protective coating on the rod, and do your thing it only took me three strikes and poof it was lite, amazing stuff highly recommend. Thanks, Black Beard, for an awesome product. Eric

Just tried my order for the first time. I followed directions on the bag and when I flicked the lighter near the first piece it immediately burst into flame, I think before the lighter itself actually lit. Burned hot for several minutes, long enough to get a good fire going quickly. Great product, will order more in the future.

It’s not too often when something you buy based on a short video is legit, but Blackbeard fire starters are legit. Super resilient, easy to use all that’s. Used them at our cabin. Wow! Easiest way to start a fire at the fire pit. Loved the fact that once lit, it stays lighted long enough to stack kindling up to big logs. Does last about 8-9 minutes as mentioned. Excellent product!!

Black Beard fire plugs are awesome. They have extended burn time and make a large flame for the size they are. Most importantly you can cut them in half and start fire in different areas depending on fire size. Best oart they work in wet conditions or in direct rain.
