I have only lit one fire using a knife and ferrell rod. The plugs worked as advertised so I gave a few to my friends to try. I love how light weight they are and the bag packs well in my gear bag or pocket. Thanks for a great product.

I used it this weekend and it worked great I did learn not to go by the pictures and put everything in the organizer it well tare only put 2 sticks of the fire starter in it at a time but other than that great product that works as advertised

Man these things work and work all the time every time without delay and no matter what the situation or weather, they work! I’ll never worry about needing a fire starter again. The only thing I wish I had was my phone or camera when I used them. I have a tendency to be in the woods without modern technology. It’s better that way. But, if one considers these fire starters modern technology then I’m guilty as can be. Thanks Black Beard for introducing these hard working gems to me.

I was big into hunting and camping when I was younger, and now I'm teaching my kids. Making a fire always was tough in the wet season, when I saw an ad for black beard, it looked cool, so I ordered. It works just as advertised. My kids love it and so do I.

Some of the best fire starters I have used work great easy to ignite from multiple sources of ignition weather it be a rod a lighter and even tried a lighter that was out of fuel and just used the striker part of it and it worked great. Will be ordering more to put in my go bags and my trucks and camping gear!! Keep making great products and I'll keep buying!!!!

This is an eBook of about 17 pages which makes for a quick read. It was part of my Pirate's Plunder purchase. This is a very helpful reference to aid in survival in the wilderness. Full of down to earth, common sense instruction in this eBook. This would be a great reference guide to be part of a backpacking, hiking or wilderness hunting gear kit.

I kept scrolling past the ads on Facebook for a while until one day I decided to give it a try. I've used the plugs a few times and they burn amazingly. I even lit them after I got them wet and they burned as if they were dry. Highly recommend.

Everything worked as advertised. Shocker I know but everything worked like it's supposed to. We had winds in 40-60mph the day it arrived and the lighter had wood smoking in about 10 seconds. Even tried the matches and they stayed lit so held them in a puddle of water and they still stayed lit. Works as advertised. I wouldn't think twice about more products from them.

Frankly, I did not believe the claims made for this product. But I am teaching grandkids fire making so I gambled. There was no gamble: these things are unreal. I put them through every test I could imagine and they burn as advertised. Starting fires for camping, survival or just practice is far too easy now, it nearly takes the fun out of it; nearly. Buying five packs is the best way to go because using them is fun and you WILL want to have these in every four-wheeler, side by side, truck, jeep...

Perfect addition to our go bags and camping pack out, yes I even did the test of dunking it in the water while lit and it did relight so no BS there!! Beware though it does produce a bit more smoke than the average match so don’t light it near a smoke detector! But otherwise very happy with the 5 pack kit we bought!!

I bought them for my two sons who are active in youth groups who spend a lot of time in the outdoors camping. While they go out on there camping trips they need the right kind of gear. Not knowing how exactly it works i bought it because it looked like a great tool to have. Christmas morning my boys and I tried it out in the moist bitter cold outside and it lit up like a champ. Very impressed with the way it works lightness and simplicity of it.

With the world changing every day. I have started to create a survival pack just in case it’s needed. One thing that will definitely be necessary is the ability to make a fire. The kit provides a few different methods to ignite the fire. I haven’t yet, but I plan to test a piece of the fire starter sticks to make sure they do what they are supposed to. The kit was offered at a great price during the holidays. I’m sure it will offer be there and work when needed.

I'm feeling secure in the fact starting a fire won't be an issue with my Pirates Plunder pack now stashed in my bug out box. The lighter worked instantly and didn't need a charge. The Ferro Rod is better than a light saber for accidentally lighting your living room rug on fire. All around I love the pack!

I ordered the ferro rod and plugs and was skeptical they would work as good as advertised. It was windy and wet outside so I gave it a try. First strike I had flame!! I will never need matches again. I love how long the plugs burn and the amount of flame they put out to help start a fire. I’m a believer!!
