When I first saw this, I knew I had to have it! I can think of a million ways that this would come in handy. You don’t need very much to start any kind of fire. In the fireplace, the bbq, smoker, wood burning stove, etc. Great product and plenty of it for a meager price. I highly recommend this product!

I was looking for fire starters for my woodstove as well as fire pits outside and saw you add. I have purchased another brand and wanted to see if there was any real difference. The Black Beard fire starters work real well. Much better than newspaper. One starter seems to work well in my stove and was what I was hoping for. It starts with a match, lighter or flint striker. Very pleased.

Sturdy packable case holds multiple fire starter braids, and the spark kit. This would be enough for many campfires, in a compact bundle. I put this in our camping kit, and it will be ready as needed.

I am so pleases with Black Beard products! I haven't had the chance to use them outdoors yet but during the Artic blast I used them to start my fireplace. I used the plugs and starter cord, lit with both the rod and the electric lighter. That equates to 4 times I didn't have to use my gas to start the fire. The long burning fire starters burned so long I only needed to use 1 each time. Can't wait to go camping!

Lit perfectly. Put it out and tried for a relight bit it didn't go so well. Ended up using a lighter to relight. But burns for what feels like forever. Would recommend it to others. My husband carried some in the small case in his pocket for emergencies. Thanks so much. Great product

I used this over the 4th of July holiday and it was great! It was a little windy out and I used some Firestarter and it lit immediately. I was able to use this to get the coals started and had to use very little to achieve a large fire!

The plugs are easier and cleaner to work with than I imagined. I broke them out for my first rainy-evening fire at camp. They lit easily and lasted long enough to coax the kindling to burn. You don't need more than 1 or 2. Very good product, and the resealable bag us great. Good to know I have them if I need them.

The design is especially good that it is a small pellet. Your main competition is a very large bar covered in wax that you have to carve and once you start carving it's no longer waterproof!

I have tried all kinds of fire plugs - Procamptek, Bigfoot Bushcraft, Tinderquik Tabs. So far Blackbeard has been the best! Procamptek - The wax is too hard to expose the fibers and they blow out in sustained winds Bigfoot - Is pliable and easy to expose fibers but they smell like peaches. Tinderquik - Easiest to expose the fibers but lack enough wax to extend the burn time. I have never had a firestarter before but this one that I could see and use has a long spark like it showed on the video I haven’t used it yet but I bought one by itself then I bought the pack so I have two starters. Now I’ll probably give to a friend, but overall what I can see of it it has a long striker which gives more flint out. I am happy so far

I like the fire starters a lot. Just cut off a bit off the tube, fray it out, and it catches fire very quickly, and acts like long lasting tinder. This is way easier to light than the fire plugs, which seem to be better for the secondary layer. The fire starters are easy to pack and transport, they aren't messy between uses, and seem pretty much waterproof. The easy way to get a fire going.
