I actually bought two sets of three. Each plug is good for two fires so that 600 fires worth. I have almost no fire making skill and with these I can make a fire easily using a ferro-rod. Matches or the arc lighter makes it a totally skill less tool. Great for folks who want to have the ability to make fires in an emergency but don't have the time to spend perfecting bushcraft fire starting techniques.

First of all, the pouch is probably the best one ever created. Everything fits comfortably and it attaches with ease. The fire plugs work great. I have used them in the past and am a serious fan. The rope is an additional game changer because it ignites even when soaking wet. The ferrocerium rod works very well too. All in all, probably the best fire kit you could buy.

I'm new to Faro Rods and firestarters etc. I found a bundle on the website that had a few things I thought would be really useful in certain circumstances. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of all the items in the bundle, the Stormproof Matches are super cool and the container they are stored in, has a Striker Plate on it. Great firestarting kit, everything you need. It's going in my emergency kit, but I had to try it out and was able to make my first fire with the Ferro Rod and a Fire Plug in just a couple minutes.
My only complaint is that the organizer bag is too small to fit everything in the kit!

I love the options in this pack. The pouch is a "C" in terms of quality because it feels flimsy and the seams aren't very strong. You cannot fit the matches in here unless you keep out some of the other items, and even then it may be an awkward fit.

Works as expected, the only thing I would like to touch on was the case. With this kit in particular, I feel like most people may be like me and buy it to put the whole kit in a bag. I had some trouble getting all the contents in the case. His isn’t a big deal for me as I build kits anyways. I just split the fire plugs up into a zip lock and took the storm proof matches and but it in another bag. Would be nice to have all in one case. However, this does not detract from the products’ performance...

This is a great piece of kit. I haven't had a chance to use it backpacking yet but I've done some tests with it. Each string burns for about 3-4 minutes and is mostly waterproof. If the battery in the lighter depletes, the striker while not as simple, is a good backup that always works. I think I've found Christmas presents for a couple people that have everything.

Wonderful fire starter! The rope was a little difficult to get started wihh flint and steel (especially when buried under twigs) but this stuff lights with one strike even while covered. As long as a spark can get to it, these plugs light right up. Burn time is around 2mins I've found but more than enough for dry tinder to be well under way.
