Amazing! It will even light in the rain. Definitely a must have for survivalists, camping trips, or just for plain everyday use when needing to start a fire. Ferro rod works better than I expected. Sometimes i like to see a shower of sparks(so cool) and if I don’t scrape the rod good enough only three or four little sparks fly out and it still catches the rope on fire. Tested out the Storm Proof Matches and have been thoroughly impressed. First use was in a moderate wind, dunked it in water, took it out and lit my backpacking stove without issue. The matches are big, easy to strike, and provide a long enough burn to light whatever fuel source you have. They will be in my hunting pack without a question!

I own a cabin in the Catskills in New York will be using them for indoor and outdoor fire systems. Look great. Should add a metal coffer box to each kit so you can have a little bit of everything in the carrier. Otherwise I gotta use a cheap Ziploc just an idea Otherwise looks like a great product. Great for kids! The ferro rods are great sparkers and the yellow paracord is easy to spot when a seven-year old leaves it in the dirt! We host summer programs for our home school group, including archery, animal tracking, and basic outdoor skills. It was awesome having your ferro rods (and fire plugs!) available at our fire-starting session and the families got a kick out of trying your products.

It’s the same type of insert the electric zip*po has. But it’s cheaper, and it’s waterproof while closed. Pardon me for loving a bargain. It locks shut with an extra safety latch. It ‘looks like’ the sorta thing you could drop in the ocean while locked shut, and the guy who finds it washed up on shore gets a fully functional fancy new lighter. Best most useful bargain on this website in my opinion. Besides the fire starter rope itself.

They were running a buy 3, get 3 free special on these fire sticks, so I finally jumped and bought some to try out. First trip was in heavy snow and starting a fire was a piece of cake. My hands were wet, and there was already a small amount of snow that had fallen on the spot I was starting my fire. It took me a few shots with the ferro rod because my aim is bad 😂 But it lit right up and burned for a long time. Definitely going to carry one of these with me on my trips!
