Cake was purchased for mum’s 75th birthday on short notice (day before). Very nice flavour of earl grey and didn’t feel heavy or overly sweet. Just the right combination with grapefruit. My first order and would happily order again. Delivery driver could have done a better job as the cake was placed on the floor of the door entrance and not delivered directly after ringing the doorbell.

Ordered this hojicha and mandarin cake for my husband’s birthday and it was excellent. The hojicha flavour was smooth and fragrant, nicely balanced by the light citrus from the mandarin. Wow. What a cake. So incredible to look at and tasted even better. Scrumptious. My 83 year old Mum declared it ‘the tastiest and most spectacular birthday cake she’s ever had! ‘ The layers of sponge were so light and fluffy, the raspberry cream, fresh and delicious and the chocolate hearts!! Makes my mouth water even now. The creamy layer with the lychees and the next with a subtle fruity jelly were a surprise and a delicious textural delight. Real lychees, ( what the …) Mums fave, they just top...

I have never ordered from Sam Baking High before, and I spent so much time going over the cake flavours and reviews and I finally decided to get the Coconut and Taro cake. I'm so glad I had ordared my cake from you guys, because it did not disappoint! It came lovingly prepared in a chiller bag with some ice. And the best thing is the flavour. Surprises of coconut pieces and lovely taro flavour. It definitely was as good as it looked. Some guests even asked to bring the leftovers home.💕

The cake was amazing — a real crowd pleaser at our farewell celebration! Everyone loved it, and I’ve already been told that from now on, I’ll be in charge of catering. Their comment was, “It’s not too sweet, really nice.” A perfect cake for any occasion — not just birthdays. Highly recommend!

beautiful cake! we initially saw an ad on facebook about Sam's Baking High and decided to give it a shot which i'm so happy we did! The cake itself is to die for. The chiffon sponge is so soft and light it feels like your biting into a fluffy cloud, as well as the flavors blending so well together - with it not being too sweet but almost a comforting feeling when you have it, very wonderful flavors. Also to mention, we had ours delivered and we didn't expect it to come in an adorable bag chiller...
