As an avid off road bike rider and automobile enthusiast, the convenience of having a wall mounted pressure washer that I can just unreel and use is super easy and is such a time saver! I read the reviews of so many of these retractable hoses and felt the price point was something I could try. My install is in a garage, on the finished drywall. I had a piece of wood that was wide enough to hold the bracket and found some good threaded, short bolts that would hold it onto the board. Pre drilled three holes and mounted the board to a stud, then the bracket to the board. Now I have a nice clean install inside my garage. The hose comes out very nicely and no leaks anywhere. I ordered this for one of our departments at work and we received it about a year ago. They use it hard in an industrial setting which I know it wasn’t exactly designed for, but they have no complaints. It’s easy and simple to maintain and install. Love the product... Hate that the small screw that holds the mounting bracket to the reel was installed so tightly (on both units I purchased) that I needed to either drill out the screw OR, what I did, was install with the hose reel attached to the mount. HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS.

I wanted to replace my old hose setup with something with a retractable hose. I ordered through Home Depot. I bought this one because it has a metal mounting bracket. If I can make one suggestion to R&D. Please make the mounting bracket so it can be screwed into a single 4x4. I thought It would but I had to sandwich 2 of them to make sure it work in my setup.

Setting up this hose reel on the wall has made vacuuming in my workshop much simpler. Instead of dragging the whole vacuum unit from project to project, I just extend the desired length of hose. It extends smoothly and you can lock the hose at that point you want, which is useful for cleaning spills like sawdust or dropped fasteners across work surfaces or the floor.

This is a really handy addition to my shop that makes cleanup a whole lot easier. Instead of having to drag around the shopvac I just connect it to this reel and pull out as much hose as I need to reach everywhere there is a mess. Installation was very easy with the included template. While there are substantial bolts with sheetrock adapters included, I would be very leery of mounting this using only those.
