I really like the rugged hand made feel of this cleaver . It’s has a shorter taper on the sharpened end for chopping but is equally as sharp as their other knives. It’s size makes it perfect for camping with. It’s to bad they don’t offer a sheath for this one. I’ve thought about making an axe style leather sheath that just buttons across the blade for carrying it on a pack by carabiner.

The Coolina slicing knife is wonderfully sharp. Between the sharpness of the blade and the weight it feels like I barely have to use any force at all to slicing meat. Only the Promaja is in its league. Plus it looks fantastic on the wall. Overall a purchase you will not regret!

Beautiful knife! I wanted to give it to my dad for Father's Day, so I crafted a handmade leather sheath for it and he absolutely loves the knife! He kept picking it up and just giggling at it. Not the best for fine chopping, but it is a wonderful gift for a dad who seldom cooks anything but red meat.

Coolina knives do not disappoint! Doing prep at my restaurant has become so much easier on my arthritic hands. The sharp blade passes through everything with ease so i dont have to put as much pressure on the knife to cut. Makes my days so much easier on my hands. These knives are well made. They hold an edge well and feel good in the hand. I'm still figuring out exactly what I like to use each of them for and I'm enjoying that too. I purchased the sharpening stone and am VERY happy I did. If you are always looking around your kitchen for a knife that is sharp enough to actually cut something, these are the answer for you.

Have only used this knife a few times but absolutely love it. Can't help but sit and slice up every meat I've cooked for the whole family before we eat. My daughter is young and I still cut her tiny bite sized bits and used to take me forever with my old knives. Very happy with my purchase.

This is a really great knife. I like how you can see the hamon or temper line it has in it's cutting edge. It's handle it ruggedly built and the blade is thick and sturdy as well as very sharp. I've been using it in the kitchen a lot lately and it holds a nice edge too.

I have been an Executive chef for 25 years, I have always used traditional chef knives decided to treat myself to two Coolina knives. The Altomino and the Promaja. I could not be happier, they are heavy duty, rugged and holds a great edge! I told my cooks that my other knives are like 80's hair metal, light, happy and fun. So far am impressed with the quality of the knives. The Tungsten strips the skin from salmon with ease. I thought it was just a Professional chef, but it really works. Although Lixy is a cool looking knife, Promaja may become my favorite knife.

Pleasantly surprised at quality of the knife. I have bought hand made knives fir over 30 yrs, this one exceeded my expectations l. The only downside was the blade polish could have been better. The weight and balance of the knife is excellent. I am overall very happy snd consider it an excellent invest. I would recommend snd personally buy again.

Love this knife!!! It has become my new utility knife in the kitchen and in our outdoor picnics. The balance is excellent and eases chopping veggies to quartering chickens. The knife came extremely sharp and I havent had to think about sharpening it since it arrived a month ago. But what I love about it is the look. Mean and confident. It's a beautiful work of art.
