This is the BEST knife I ever used as a chef... and I use 3 of them in our Restaurant, the Swiss Italian Restaurant in Cordova, Cebu. I saw this knife the first time more than 20 years ago in Serbia and I was very impressed, how the cooks where using this knife. The package is inside a very nice black box. Its like you dont want to use it bcoz fo the box. When i held it in my hands i immediately went to get my pork meat. so sharp it immediately cuts the pork. The weight is just perfect. I want more

For the price, this is a good butcher knife, heavy and well balanced. Shipment was quite fast. Its sharp but not razor sharp. The grind on the bevel was not balanced, had to spend 10min on a belt sander to fix it. This is a convex edged knife, sharpening is best done on a belt sander or low speed grinding wheel like a Tormek. It will not be easy sharpening on a stone. Pls note that this is a pretty thick knife. I am quite happy with this knife. First time purchase with Atoz and its quite plea...

This is one of the best knife you can use as a chef. I saw this kind of knife the first time in Serbia (ex Jugoslavia) and i was impressed, but I couldn't buy one that time. Then I saw many food videos of Almazan Kitchen (Youtube) which they exclusively us such knifes and i ordered one, but never received it. I never had a very nice experience with a knife other than this Nikuya. The weight is just excellent and the sharpness is so good that it can even cut so thin. Most of all, I admire that it is Japanese made known for its perfection and sturdiness that it can last a lifetime. Thank you Nikuya. Hope I can buy some other products in the future.
