I've had my eye on this game for a long time. It brings me back to a game I played back in Dragon Magazine. Clay battles, now with fancy dice. The love that went into the creation of the game shows. From spell books, that are the molds, etched crafted dice and rings to smash your opponents. The theme of another time and world, is all over this game. My kids had their first game and they couldn't stop giggling and cheering, even when their own monsters were getting smashed. We decided to give them all names, usually right before they got turned into a puddle of clay. Afterwards the children begged me, can we play again? (and my daughter, the haggler, said "Can we play ... 2 more times?"). I can see Necromolds becoming a family game night staple.

This game rocks! So many layers of goodness and fun. Perfect for getting me into the spooky fall feeling! The lore is imagination inspiring! The gameplay is strategic and lots of dice rolls with unexpected results! I'm currently painting some of the monsters that I made with air dry clay! Had a great time with this one - there is something delicious about squishing the fallen. I kept trying to get my kids to let me do the squishing - no such luck. I will say, in the base set, the insectomite is definitely strong - but we did see one fall to a brave mud mump. I would love to see a fully coop version - my youngest (5) in particular is just not competitive, I play to see if I can modify the solo rules to accommodate him. I got this as a great intro to miniatures gaming for my little ones. It was a HUGE hit. We love the game and the scales of complexity. Keep it simple for the kids, but a great game for us adults as well!

Loads of fun for everyone! Necromolds has players creating monster armies on a radically designed game board set with hindering terrain as they battle it out to smash their opponents monsters. Through strategic movement and dice rolling, players attack and defend until their monsters are the last ones standing, leaving each round on the edge of their seat. Unique design paired with dice rolling mechanics the whole family can enjoy, I recommend Necromolds to everyone!

Super fun game that is great for kids and adults. Lots of depth in strategy but simple enough for young kids! I taught my oldest (9) how to play yesterday and I wake up to her playing with my youngest (6) after teaching it all by herself! The components are high quality and it’s so much fun just to make the minis. I’m hoping this will be the gateway game that gets my kids into hobby gaming! 10/10

My family absolutely love this game. My 3 year old likes the simple easy “little kid” rules. And my wife and I (Both veterans of other wargames) enjoy the advanced rules. The monsters tend to stick to the molds the first few times. But after that they come out very easily.

Lovely product!! Just received our Kickstarter, and the kids love it. Got a bit daunted at the size of the rulebook, however once I realised it's only 2 pages long for lite play, everyone had a ball! They love seeing me squishing my guys as I lose terribly to the might of my 8 to. My 5 yo loves the squishiness of the dough and casts monsters like a pro. 5* for us!

This game just screams nostalgia! From the evocative art style and colour palette, to the meticulously packaged spell-books, you can't help but feel like a kid again opening up that Nintendo for the first time. The rules are accessible by a variety of age groups with lots of options for more experienced wargamers. The whole family are huge fans!

There is so much play in this box! Game mechanics aside (I’ll get to those next) Necromolds is a brilliant toy that promotes both imaginative and structured play and really extends across so many ages and gaming levels. Got this for my 7-year-old since he is in love with minis and wargames and it was a big hit! Played all weekend and he smashed me repeatedly. Fast, fun, and easy to get into, with enough depth to keep you coming back.

I played a 4 player game and it was great! We divided up the books into two groups and had at it. It wasn't as chaotic as I thought it would have been with four players. There were some pretty great laugh out moments when a small monster was able to defeat a hefty monster. I played with 4 adults and there were no complaints.

My fiance and I are in our late 20's. He is a big fan of Age of Sigmar and other table top war games. I am dyslexic and struggle with a lot of the complicated rules and mental math required by most ttwg, so I surprised him with this for Christmas and we had a blast! (I did have to play with gloves because it would seem I am allergic to the Spell Clay. Thankfully other clays are compatible!)

This game is something special. It is a great way for kids and adults to dip their toes into tabletop war gaming at a reasonable price. The rules are simple but very flexible for you to come up with all kinds of different game variations and who doesn’t like playing with play dough. There really isn’t a better beginner friendly miniature war game/board game that I’ve found.
