I tried it first with standard Knob Creek and it was ok but the maple flavor didn’t really shine through. Now with the Smoked Maple Knob Creek its a tad sweet but the flavors really shine through. I’d buy again.

I was really impressed with the flavor and how well the Old Fashions with Bulleit Bourbon came out. You really only need the 1/2 oz to get the flavor from the Proof Syrup. I have been touting this to my friends who come over and they had nothing but good things to say. I was skeptical of the size for the price at first but now seeing that 1/2 oz per drink it seems valued properly. I'd be happy to pass the Proof Syrup link along to friends and family!!

Well aware that it's syrup, and therefore by definition, sweet, but I could definitely do with even more bacon flavor. Here, I'm faking it with a couple dashes of hickory smoked salt, but I've also used Peychaud's or Angostura bitters to cut the sweetness. Proof syrup makes an extremely tasty old fashioned! I liked the maple bacon flavor best, though to be honest, we didn't taste the bacon at all. Not a bit! The same was true for the pecan flavor, which was still good, but nothing special. I wish those flavors could be amped up - especially the pecan, because I had visions of a delicious, boozy, liquid pecan pie in mind, but it wasn't even close. I'd skip that one in the future, but continue to buy the maple bacon. Even though it could be more bac...

It made a great Old Fashioned, but I didn’t really get any real taste or smell of smoke, bacon or maple. It was labeled as such, but I wonder if it was incorrectly labeled and I actually got the plain version. Thanks. Richard Rusche

A-mazing!!! After seeing all the great reviews I had to try one of the flavors, so I chose Maple Bacon, and OMG it’s delicious!! It definitely surprised me. Sooo I ended up buying all the flavors and all are incredible. It’s definitely super easy to make and it’s gourmet quality.

This is a seriously good mixer. I can’t detect much bacon flavor but the maple is easy to spot. It tastes so good, I can’t wait to try the other flavors. I usually mix with George Dickell White Label but it goes well with Turkey and Jack, too.

Bought Proof after I saw Facebook ad. I love to make cocktails and I thought it was a unique product. I tried it the day I received it with Bulleit...it was awesome...It made the best Old Fashioned I ever had. The maple/bacon accents were subtle but added so much to the standard Old Fashioned. Love the product. Very subtle and just right for the way I make my Old Fashioned right here in Louisville where it was invented. Makers Mark- 3 Luxardo cherries and orange peel and this fabulous maple bacon syrup. Best I ever made and so easy.

Made maple bacon Old Fashioned with a twist of orange and Luxardo Cherries. Only complAint was my own clumsiness. I got a three pack and dropped a bottle of traditional on my granite countertop making a mess and losing my bottle. I made the Old Fashions for a party and they were a huge hit.

Love the maple bacon syrup. Mixes great with Bulleit Bourbon. My only complaint is that the syrup leaks out of the bottle. I think a more efficient bottle cap may be a good option.

I have purchased the original , maple bacon and pecan. All are great. My ranking is pecan, maple bacon, original. Proof syrup makes it very easy to make a nice drink. Now it’s trying different bourbons. Tuff work but some one needs to do it.

The maple bacon proof is perfect, however, the bottle arrived with a very small hairline crack and it slowly leaks onto my counter. I realized this after i went to pick it up one night and it was stuck to the counter. Other than slowly losing the goods it’s a great product. I wish i had another bottle to transfer it to though so i could save it.
