Maple Bacon - had the right ingredients but I can't help think that there was something wrong with my batch. I couldn't taste the maple or the bacon when I added it to my bourbon. So I tried it straight and still didn't taste it. My wife, who is better at wine tasting than I am and so a better taster in general, tried it too to verify that I hadn't lost my tastebuds and she remarked, "it tastes like candy. I ordered the maple bacon and was excited to get it when it arrived. Upon mixing my first drink, I have to say I was rather disappointed. I didn’t taste a hint of maple or bacon and went back to check the bottle to make sure I had received what I had ordered. I checked the label and it indeed read Maple Bacon, but honestly, it just tasted like a basic old fashioned. It wasn’t bad, by any means, it just didn’t taste like what I had ordered.

This is a fine syrup for an Old Fashion, but I taste neither maple, nor bacon. So, although it is a good it product, it just isn’t what I was hoping it would be.

This syrup had an artificial smoke flavor to try to replicate the bacon that we did not enjoy. There is no salty or any other flavors reminding you of bacon, just the attempt at making it smoky.

I'm not a fan of overpowering flavor, but on the flip side I really didn't get much maple or bacon out of this at all. Could probably amp it up a bit!

Love the Traditional and Pecan, Maple Bacon did not taste any different than Traditional, in fact had to double check the label. Overall, they were great, just disappointed that I couldn't taste the Maple Bacon at all.

Pretty good but not as flavorful as I hoped. Mixed some simple syrup with it to cut some of the harshness. Definitely won’t pay for another bottle but it was worth a try.

After receiving the syrup, following the directions and mixing it with Maker's Mark whiskey we were disappointed that the taste of the syrup was not evident in the least. None of us tasted any hint of maple or bacon. We're going to try another whiskey and see if that makes any difference. We were excited in the beginning waiting for the syrup to arrive (it was a graduation gift for our son) but were disappointed and let down on the quality and flavor.

Don’t really taste the maple or bacon. Sipped it straight to see if whiskey was just overpowering the flavor and I thought maaaaybe I could taste the bacon but not the maple at all. Not a bad syrup, just doesn’t have strong flavor of either.

I ordered the original and maple-bacon... I think the product is very good... but, the maple-bacon flavor is barely discernible. In fact, I thought the bottle was mislabeled.

I was hoping it would have a stronger flavor like a smoky bacon thing combined with the maple. I could taste the sweetness of the maple but that was all I was getting. I would want more smoke and bacon.

Maybe it's just me, but adding the proper amount of PROOF turned by perfectly good Jack Daniels/Gentlemen Jack into cough syrup. Perhaps it's an acquired taste, perhaps I am doing something wrong.

Appreciate the all in one syrup w bitters but didn’t even have a hint of bacon flavor and overpriced compared to similar products on Amazon. Glad to pay the increased price but it needs a distinct flavor. Right now it just tastes like syrup and bitters. Nothing special.
