Consistent communication through delivery issues

Poor ability to meet milestoneq

Company won’t respond to any e-mails. The Kickstarter page for the product is flooded with dissatisfied customers all saying the same thing. The shoes don’t fit as they’re too big, and Wildpool will not engage with their customers and sort out refunds or returns. A classic example of a badly run Kickstarter campaign

Took ages to arrive. Came in too small and replacement was same size.

The feet measurement system was a big fail.

I mean... slow... confusing... I was never sure what email I was supposed to be reading and which was relevant or not and yea... I dunno. really quite underwhelming result

A lot of things weren't working in the process. It's like they went to market too quickly and before issues were tested and resolved.

Helpful for a small start up

Mary is brilliant

Over promised & under delivered in terms of duration of wait to receive & product - and average communication. Don’t doubt difficult to get started however and risk of engaging early.

Good comms

I’m a huge fan and excited to watch the brand grow but the shoes cut into my ankles.

Took along time to arrive which spoilt they experience

Took a risk buying when these were still in the beta testing phase and took a while with no communication but they came good in the end and sure now they are up and running properly they will be fine

Little to no communication. No updates on the campaign. No answers to email questions. Then all of a sudden the products appear. Not a great experience all in all. But at least they arrived and they are comfy and do what they advertised.

All was shared before on user engagement issues

So not a great start - info was sporadic - email showing truck full of boxes that were on their way!! This prompted me to write a reply - where when how?? Strangely my shoes were delivered without notice 2 days later when I was away - neighbour accepted delivery. Once home sad to say shoes were too big - suggested a swop in the comments as I had seen a few other ‘swap’ messages. Few days later I got a personal email from Mary - she he’d packaged a size smaller and would send when I returned my ones - attached was prepaid label for my return. Amazed at the response - and a bit sceptical I returned the shoes and received the replacement the SAME day. I was disappointed that the new ones were also too big. Offering to send back at my expense Mary repeated the process of sending another replacement and another prepaid return label. Shoes are amazing. Really pleased now I have the right size. They are ‘big made’ Normally I take size 40 but 38 are perfect. So go smaller. Customer service - second to none. I have never had replacement before return reached sender. At the start of the sizing period - which I’m sure was out of your control - and the poor comms re delivery at the beginning I really thought my money was down the drain. However congratulations on an excellent product - a lovely lady call Mary who dealt with my returns - you have a very satisfied backer. Edit review

I was a first backer- I was genuinely excited about the shoes. I put an extra £10 in at one point because there was a confusing email- probably my fault for misreading it. There was no communication from Wildpool whatsoever, until I chased it up after maybe 6 months- then my shoes were sent. They are too big, and they are the smallest size available (this wasn’t communicated before I’d backed. I’ve sent 2 emails now, asking to return them- both have been ignored. A disappointing experience.

Slow fulfillment. But size fine and they made it my holiday as a welcome addition to my luggage.

No response from customer services

LOVE the shoes!! I got blisters the first wear but I'm super prone to them so that is very normal for me - I spoke to someone with an early pair and he said to wear socks for a while - can confirm last night's Thames swim with them was aces! Soooo easy to clean after and dry in no time! Love them!!

Although the order took a long while to come through, the comms were good and set my expectations well.

Good work from the team to adjust the sizing from the first run. Quality product.

The shoes took longer than promised to arrive. The sizing is not correct - I would advise ordering at least 1, poss 2 sizes smaller than one’s usual shoe size. I have written to the company whilst waiting for the shoes for order updates - nothing received and have written 3 times since receiving asking for the returns policy and/or how to swap for a different size. I was an early backer for this kickstarter project and have 2 pairs of shoes - this is a review for one pair. Review 2 to follow as I’ll allow a little more time for them to share returns policy information. For the moment my advice is do not buy.
