After 2 leaking tank water heaters in 8 years I was looking for an alternative. I read several articles and viewed lots of YouTube videos. Two that were especially useful were by the Woggers Way DIY. After my research I felt the ThermoMate was the best choice for me.

The gas line is not a true 1/2” it is not thread so it is not compatible with a 1/2” gas line. Other that that it was easy

I am going to return this product, and it is subject to a 20% restocking fee. I consider that to be fair and reasonable.

Shipping communication was deficient, considering, for some reason, I was expecting 'same day shipping.' Customer rep did not get back to me with shipping information as she said she would. My trust levels dropped considerably after pondering in the dark about the status. On my second call she did give the desired information. I needed this heater like 'yesterday.'
