The pieces in this kit are very vleanly cut and their thickness is quite substantial. There are several gear assemblies that require vwry careful waxing so be prepared to spend adequate time in those regards. The instructions have been tranlated from Chinese and the illustrations are a bit vaugue at time so study them carefully. Another very enjoyable build and quite a bit larger than what I was anticipating. This one doesnt fire any rojectiles (or rubber bands) but is made up for with the green LED's, red laser dot aiming pointer and audio sound of a laser gun firing via the included speaker. I ordered the mechanical Nautilus metal model from rokrgeek and the whole experience was excellent. From the moment the order was confirmed to the day it arrived in Germany it took about two weeks which is perfectly reasonable. The package was very well protected and all customs fees were already covered by the seller which made the delivery completely hassle free. The Nautilus itself exceeded my expectations. While this is my first wooden model, it certainly won't be my last. I've always struggled with painting classic models, but loved the fun of putting them together. Maybe that's why I loved Lego and such growing up? This scratches that itch quite well. I've definitely learned a lot during building this (patience, light tough, less glue than you think, and watch out for every piece) but it's been a super fun journey. Saw it on line. Loved it so decided to order. Yes it's not a low cost item and for good reason. Packaging and shipping are too notch. The beautiful made box has an executive finish. Inside the box beautiful laid out puzzle in cut out foam with layer after layer of anticipation. The finish is excellent all the gears and parts are very well made and metal. I was finishing up another project so I just finally started my Fantasy Steam Castle a couple days ago. The instructions are great. The fit of the wooded pieces is unbelievably good. I’m an older guy and my hands aren’t as steady as they once were so I really appreciate a project I don’t have to do a lot of modifications on to make it work. The parts were accurately cut and fit very well together. I colored them before assembly and put it together. It worked first run! Main spring is only long enough for an indicated 55min out of the 60 on the dial but who cares? I love watching this thing tick and I bought one for my friend to build. A great gift for any engineer! I found that lubricating it with silicone spray and silicone grease works better than the parafin wax but the wax works well on the bearings and gears as supplied....

This model is simply stunning. This was an incredible build too. From all the models I have built so far, I feel like the instructions for this one were the best. They make you build each floor step by step, switching from pieces of furniture to walls to very small decorations. It's very varied and you can see the build progress floor by floor. Great build! I had a great time! Although there was some improvisation needed with glue at some of the small parts it wasn't anything too unexpected. I don't know if the glue brick that comes with it is any good since i just used my own. Also since the battery box is of a non standard (e.g. AAA) 2 cm size, i just stuffed 3 button cells in there to make it work.
