I store practically everything in Mason Genie jars because I know a week or two it will still be good. How many bags of brown sugar have you thrown out? Mine is still soft and moist after six months. And instead of filling the landfill with plastic I throw my Ball jars in the dishwasher. The uses are endless! Shrimp in the freezer doesn’t freezer burn. Actually, nothing does. The only problem I have is how the heck it works.

I made and sealed six jars of oats and Chia for breakfast. The mason Genie worked great for sealing the lids on. I had a bit of trouble taking the genie off the jar as my hands aren’t as strong as they used to be as I am 78 years old.. I was worried I would break the seal pulling the genie off. But the lids were still sealed on. I love the Mason Genie!

Honestly, I still need to see the build quality, but this thing does everything it promised. I'm a pessimist, and it beat my expectations by 30%. And yes, it can quickle You can actually see the air bubbles pulling out of the onion cells, something they should advertise. Again, other than build quality, which I have no idea, it's only been less than a month, so it's definitely a must-grab if you already have a mason jar collection.

Though my first one had a defect and did not work. I was easily able to contact customer service and got an email within 2 days telling me how to troubleshoot and/or file for a replacement. Works great and quick. Did try on one jar that had a larger lower lip and the threads were too short to go into the sealer, so not every jar will be made to work on this sealer. But that Ball jar we have is very old. It’s the odd “Ball”, All the rest of our jars sealed fine!

I had been thinking about buying this and finally pulled the trigger. It has definitely extended the life span of the fruits and veggies in my fridge. Raspberries don’t turn to mush after two days and the package of mini cucumbers that I always end up throwing half away because they get moldy before I can finish them have lasted fresh to the end. Love the little vacuum genie and the bags. Had another brand that did not work anywhere near as well as this one works. You would vacuum seal the bags and within a day you could not tell that they were vacuumed. The vacuum genie works so well, so quick, and with the auto switch off it is amazing.
