The instinct lace is currently my favorite shoe. They are comfortable but still high performing. I'm roughly 175lb, and for a heavier guy, I prefer a stiffer shoe, which I'm guessing gives a similar level of feel as lighter climbers with softer shoes. This is my second pair of size S BD Notion pants. I find it very hard to get pants in general that aren't too loose in the waist that still fit in the thighs. This pair is fitting tighter than the last but it's cotton and it'll get loosen up with time (like the last pair, though I still think they're making them a bit smaller). Just used this on a 7pitch sport route and the adjustability was such an advantage when securing yourself, moving around and setting things up. It's very easy to use, and very much worth the extra money over a static setup. The arm for rappel is equally easy to use and just as useful. The extra for it was absolutely worth the cost as well. The Vapor Lace is simply a brilliant all rounder able to take on anything that you would expect from a long multipitch climb on granite. For a 9.5 rope it's definitely harder to feed through the grigri v3 or 2023 version. I had an easier time with a 9.8 Stirling velocity dry rope. Weave is tight like the Stirling ropes but I think the dry treatment of the Stirling is for sure better. But quality is definitely amazing!
