These chasens are very brittle and begin to break with almost the first use. Lately they have even started to split. With one or two daily uses in a large, smooth chawan, they only seem to last a couple of weeks before the quality of the foam seriously declines. I wish there were several options of chasen makers, Nioteas are my favorite tea source.
