This tea was slightly bitter but it had redeeming qualities, the temperature to brew is lower and the leaves open up a ton, giving more surface area for flavor I would recommend less than 5g for this tea.

Like a more mild version of sencha, but a more potent version of bancha; it's like the middle point between the two in flavor, scent and color, with the always-thick liquor that comes from quality teas. This was a very refreshing tea, especially for how hot and dry it was today. I followed their brewing guide and it came out perfectly! I highly recommend this one for someone who is just getting into Japanese green teas, as it is mild, but not weak; and flavorful, but not overpowering

The dry leaves smell slightly fruity and the leaves pour out in a satisfying mound of green, but I'm not getting any particularly strong notes. The first infusion is savory and a little grassy. I like it. In the second infusion, the leaves open wider. The liquor has deepened its green and there's that slight cooling/chocolatey flavor of some Japanese teas but it's not as pronounced. The third infusion continues this line. This is a well-rounded and gentle sencha. I would recommend it.

The dry leaves smell fresh, bright, sweet, and citrusy. On the first infusion, this sencha has a nice weight to it but somehow still feels a little thin. The green brightens on the second infusion. I feel like there's nothing really jumping out in this tea.

The uniformity of the stem length and the dark hues of the roast create a different kind of beauty. 5 grams, 70℃, 60 seconds. The 60 - 20 - 20 second method for brewing hojicha really works well in bringing the best out of the tea. The second infusion was the best.
Notes: brown sugar and coffee, with a rum-like aftertaste. Very warming on the body.

Not my favorite Matcha. I was drinking Makinohara Masudaen which I love. It was sweet and had almost no acidity. Then it was not available anymore and since then I have been struggling to find a true sweet Matcha.
I find the Wazuka Nakai Superior not sweet but also not bitter. It has very low acidity, which I appreciate, but in my opinion it is too vegetal. I like the thickness and the aftertaste. I don’t think I will buy it again.

This one I found to be much milder, with not nearly as intense in flavor as any of the other teas, but still good nonetheless. The color initially wasn't as vibrant as I usually expect from sencha, but it progressed nicely. Next time I might steep this a bit stronger using slightly hotter water and less water

I haven't had very much genmaicha, but this one is a much higher quality than what I've had before. What was most notable to me was the bright green color of the liquor despite using boiling water. I love that taste that comes from the toasted rice mixed in with the tea, it makes it nice for maybe a rainy day. The brewing guide said to use 250 ml of water, but next time I might use less
