Second go at the review. Installation went very smoothly. Even easier than the video. I made just two Curt’s after installation. The difference was immediately obvious. So little dust got through. I have it hooked up to the main dust collection for the workshop and it works fine. Looking at getting a dust vacuum to have a dedicated unit, but that’s got to wait till the 3D printer has been purchased. Thanks Shop Nation for that :(.

Fits perfectly on my Dewalt 779. Easy to install and the actual sawdust collection is at least 80 - 90% better than the stock Dewalt system. Shop stays cleaner and I'm not shedding as much "Man Glitter" at the end of the day!

Overall I'm very happy with this upgrade to the miter saw dust collection. I had one concern during the install (the instructional video was great; the mechanics of the install were a cinch) and that concerned the orientation of the dust chute to the blade. When I installed the bracket, the blade lined up perfectly centered on the bracket (see the pic), but when I attached the dust chute the blade was skewed to the left side of the dust chute but did not quite touch it. I bought the Shop Nation Dust Collector for my DeWalt 780 sliding miter saw. I ordered the yellow version to match my saw. It is very easy to install and only took less than 30 minutes to get it set up. I also purchased a vacuum electrical outlet for the saw and the shopvac. The shopvac turns on when I pull the trigger on the saw. I've cut 16 6/4 by 6" boards with it so far and am very pleased with the results. I think it catches somewhere around 90% of the dust from the saw.

This dust collection system is far better than the factory installed version. I immediately noticed a huge reduction in the amount of saw dust around my saw. The installation was quick and easy thanks to the installation video provided via a QR code that comes with the product (didn’t have to search the web for help). I especially like the quick release feature that allows for easy saw blade changes. Great product!

I have the DeWalt 708 model revision four, but it has the side plate and this attached effortlessly I would highly recommend it to anybody but keep in mind. It does not collect 100% of the dust some of the heavies make it by but all of the fine dust is collected. I love the job that they’re doing over there. I would love one for my DeWalt 705 series. Hopefully they’ll come up with that one. I recommend your products.

Fantastic. The difference in capturing dust is night and day. I took pictures of before and after with my dust collection running. Previously i had to go back after just a few cuts to clean up the saw and floor around it. Now, hardly any dust gets by. Huge, and I mean HUGE improvement over the factory dust collection tube. It also allowed the saw to be moved closer to the wall since I no longer need space for a vacuum hose to be connected behind the slider bars. The only downside I have noticed, and it's not much, is that the new dust collector has to be removed (or significantly loosened) to change saw blades. Not a big deal for me, it might be for you.

Not perfect, as you readily acknowledged. But it does very well during the cut, just not as well at the end. However, it's vastly better than what Bosch provided. Installation was a cinch. I wish you would have provided modifiable 3D print files for the locking flex-hose adapter to my dust collection system so I didn't have to make one by trial-and-error. Took 3 tries to get it right.

I watched Vince developing his prototype on his YouTube channel with great interest. I have tried every silly idea to try to keep from literally choking on massive dust generated by my Bosch mitre saw. Chutes. Gravity fed and vacuum assisted, collection boxes….nothing worked.
