OK, the device simple to install and works great. I think we need to drop the apron (rubber piece) a little lower on the left side of the saw- almost an angle. I seem to get more dust to the left if the blade vs the right. Overall I get a ton less dust with this add on. T

This is a well thought out product. I am using it on an 20 year old DeWalt 708 sliding compound miter saw . A great saw with perhaps some of the worst dust collection I have seen. This chute is catching 85 to 90 percent of the dust . It is amazing ! Even when cutting Azek! Highly recommend.

Long story but I ordered the wrong model and the wrong adaptor. It was my fault. Travis and cust service were really nice about it. They sent me the right stuff quickly. It works great! It’s awesome to see the dust disappear up the shoot instead of everywhere. As you can see in photos I used the dewalt box as a shroud as well. Between my DIY shroud and Shop Nations device the dust is well contained Thanks Travis and Shop Nation cust service!

My Gen 1 shoot exploded so I needed the Gen 2. Travis gave me discount and shipped the new unit promptly. Installation was easy with the help of the installation video. New unit is working well although I had to cut some 8/4 hard maple and the basically almost none of the sawdust was collected because the shoot was block until the very end of the cut. Overall, I very satisfied with the product.

Installation was fairly straight forward. I followed the video and I didn't time it, but it took less than an hour to install the Shop Nation upgrade. It took a bit longer to route my vacuum hose and power cords to be out of the way, but by using a vacuum switch, the vacuum turns on when I turn on the saw. The dust collection is a big improvement over the factory setup. I think the Shop Nation upgrade was a good investment.

I was a bit skeptical when I first opened the package because the chute for the Hitachi saws is not a large or complicated piece. However, it improves dust collection dramatically. Directions and video made installation easy, even with the need to remove a part from the saw base to accommodate the new chute. The piece is sturdy and fits with close tolerances to boost the performance of your OEM chute to a level that will meet or exceed your expectations.

Installed the dust shoot on my dewalt chop saw the other day and was really happy with the results. It’s 100% better than dewalts ridiculous dust shoot. Who ever designed that never used a chop saw in his life. The design of the dust shoot is simple and easy to install. I have to give credit to Shop Nation for developing a product that can really make a difference in the use of dust collecting. Using it in combination with a box around the saw. Both connected to a Oneida supercell dust collector so have very little dust escaping into the shop. One person previously said they couldn't use this chute because they had a zero clearance fence. I got around that by having a low (3/4 in high) zero clearance backer screwed to the wood zero clearance base insert I made. The dust adapter for my Metabo C12RSH2 fit perfectly. The installation video and instructions were simple and easy to follow. As mentioned on the web site, a small cast aluminum blade guide needs to be cut off the saw but it is easy to do. I'd estimate a 70-75% improvement in capturing dust just by replacing the dust chute.

Significant reduction in sawdust. After making 9 cuts through a 4x4 I had about the same amount of sawdust around the saw that I would have had with a single cut using the OEM dust collection. Expanding the rubber "catcher" of this out an additional inch on each side would likely eliminate all sawdust on the saw.

Watching the installation video made it very easy. I had it installed in less than 30 minutes after the package arrived. As expected, there is still some large chips escape, but it seems to get all the fine dust which is the really irritating stuff both to the lungs and when it covers everything in the garage. Looking forward to a much less dusty workshop. Well worth it even with shipping to Australia.

Excellent product! Installation was a breeze, just needed to shim the right side to center the blade. Only drawback is the dust bag not fitting on your adapter. Should be the same O.D. as the original adapter. I will be using a vac the majority of the time and the bag occasionally.

Game changer in the shop! Works better than I expected. I bought the STL file + the parts to complete the install and it couldn't have gone smoother. I used PLA with my Creality Ender 3, and it worked great. There was some superficial splitting around the screw holes, but if I used PETG, as recommended, this would not have been an issue. It works best when you’re moving the blade as opposed to just doing a chop cut. It was very easy to install, and I did not mind cutting out that piece at all as it really never did anything anyway.
