I slept on the hammock 3 times then the pad started slowly losing air. I have submerged it and looked for the leak to repair but if I blow it up and leave it over night it does not lose air. If I am on it, by morning it only half full. This makes the hammock almost un usable.

Failed on the first use miserably. Could not stand up to heavy rain. I woke up in a pool of water. My rain fly was attached, but the hammock took on water from the walls . The entire interior was moist. The rain was pretty heavy, however, my friends with regular hammock setups were completely dry. My friend with a less expensive nightcat set up was also dry. I've been a litefighter fanboy for a long time because of the weight and versatility. My recent purchases of haven gear has complimented my SOP load out. I'm quite curious as to if the layflat hammock concept is within my operational mindset. I think after this workup (training cycle) I may plunge my personal finances into a thorough T&E of the xl. Sleeping pad started leaking as soon as 2nd camping trip (total of 3 nights used before leak occurred). Sleeping pad was only ever used in the hammock tent. Hammock tent was only ever hung and never used on the ground. Until it started leaking, I loved it-pretty quick to inflate with my lung power, and super comfortable.

The zipper can be tricky. It likes to get bound up on the inside stitching. Needs a wider sitch base for the zipper attachment and a more robust zipper. Other than that it's pretty amazing.

I ordered 2 ultralight pads and one insulating cover. When they arrived, I blew up on of the ultralight pads and put the cover on it. I was so excited about my haven tent. Took it on my first backpacking trip ever and was so let down by the quality of sleep. My pad didn’t hold air, it deflated quite a bit allowing it to crease in the middle totally negating the “lay flat” that I was hoping for. It was mid 40s overnight, so not sure if it was affected by the colder air, but it was fully inflated when I got in bed.

To be fair, we don’t typically need the warmth of the insulated pad in most of the African continent where we are traveling. You would fairly get a better review from someone who is traveling more in cold weather conditions. It is nice to not stick to the pad when you were sweating. The size for packing would not be worth most of our trips since it is already warm in the areas we are going. Someday we plan on taking a trip into Siberia Russia and then I will let you know.
