The Haven Tent is a relatively well constructed piece of kit. You lay very flat relative to a traditional hammock and it makes a sleeping experience possible and comfortable when there is uneven and wet ground as long there are trees. Or in trekking pole mode it makes a sleeping experience possible even when there are no trees. I did pair the haven tent with a larger tarp instead of the one that haven offers because it allows me a larger area outside of the tent to hangout when its wet or snowy....

I actually really like the Haven tent. I have a XL and a Safari. They both offer great sleep but of recent my Safari sleeping pad starting leaking down. At first I thought it may be just the temperature difference from first filling to cooling down. I absolutely love this tent, one of the best camping purchases I have ever made and I highly recommend it. Only issues that keep it from being 5 stars is the bottom caved in a lot on me (though I just exchanged for the true level pad, so I am hoping that fixes it), and the biggest issue is the zipper takes a lot of force to close while inside due to tention and I am worried I will break it. Used it on a 3 day trip down the Buffalo National River in really challenging temps 19 degrees at night. No problems. I used one whoopie sling to help extend the distance between trees. It was great having the option to extend but I felt like it didn’t hold as well as I expected. When I got in I felt like it gave and I had to retighten it before getting back in or I was nearly on the ground.
