i’m having trouble with putting the knee brace properly on the right leg, which has partial cruciate ligament tear. The strap down her back keeps slipping to one side. When I do manage to put the knee braces on properly, she gets support & walks better. When I can’t seem to fit properly, she won’t walk with it. I’ve trimmed her feathers & the rehab tech is going to try to help me fit it properly on next appointment.

The brace is made extremely well, however, my gurl River is over weight big body short legs & it didn’t fit because of that. It seems to be providing support as long as I have it "tight" enough. She wears it all day and I take it off at night. During the day, she naps and does everything as normal with it on. I feel so much better about her going to daycare or being boarded knowing that her knee is safe. I can't afford ACL surgery if she were to tear it so this seems to be working for us now. She is a 35ish lb Standard Schnauzer and she is wearing the medium.

This is an updated review. I had an issue with fit of knee braces for my female GSD. I reached out to WagWize but my inquiry was somehow lost. My dog is not fond of wearing this brace, but she is getting used to it. I really do like it, once I figured out how to put it on her. Sometimes it slips off in the back, but we think we have figured it out. If I can get her used to it every day, I do believe it will help stabilize her leg so her ACL can heal. As of now I am happy with the wag wize knee brace and harness. I think it is a good product.

Our dog had a partial ACL tear, we ended up choosing to go through with the TPLO surgery as it was an 80% tear. Bought 2 different brands of braces and this one is better than the one that was twice as much $$$. The velcro straps really are wonderful and allow to adjust around my pitties chubby little turkey legs. The hinges bend properly as she runs which took a little bit for her to get used to and she does not like wearing it but this would be the easiest one to get used to. Nothing against the braces, she doesn't like he harness or getting new collars, either. She moved better with it on for sure....

My boxer was walking better within 24 hours. Her progress went from 3 legged to using her toes. She's now using her whole foot and putting more weight on the leg. She also asks for them to be but on every morning. The only problem was at 2 weeks when the velcro on the braces decided to keep coming undone. I took a cat hair brush to them to remove hair I couldn't see, but it was there. Now I keep them "combed" every other day. Over all a great option over surgery.

This is a very well made harness. Strong and has double stitching. The problem we're having, however, is that it's not fitting our furry baby properly. We ordered the extra large based on his measurements, yet the strap that goes over his back side (from thigh to thigh), keeps slipping down to his tail. This sling has helped us immensely after our dogs surgery!! He is 160lbs and can't walk on his hind leg for a few weeks yet. My gsp does not have any knee problems, just old man wobbles along with spinal deterioration. This brace system really seems to help although took him a bit to get used to it. Apparently I ordered the wrong size, or my dog had lost a lot of muscle in his thighs - not uncommon in older dogs. The leg wraps were too big and the velcro patches didn’t line up so I the wraps didn’t stay in place. Having a sewing machine, I was able to fit the sleeves to my dogs legs and take in some of the extra fabric so the velcro would catch.
