We (my wife and I) enjoyed working on the camera for about 6 days (a little at a time). The pieces came away from the sheets perfectly. They fit like a grove every time. The instructions were clear and perfect in every way. The timing was excellent as we have been home bound during these trying times. Kept us from going at each other. This piece is a great looking camera. From its cogs, to its minor details it can be displayed anywhere and look like it belongs there. It also works great once put together properly. This is a wonderful puzzle and makes for a very nice looking item for your mantle/display case. The laser cut sheets are generally easy to work with but sometimes the fit is tight when assembling the parts (note: this is all friction fit - no glue used). Amazing product, keeps you busy for some hours and gives you insight how a projector works. The precision how the pieces are cut is impressive. Keep in mind that wood is a natural product. I noticed that some pieces were slightly bend after I took them out from the template (effect of humidity or heat). I loved everything about this kit, the parts were precise, nothing missing and very very good directions. The directions left nothing to doubt they illustrated tricky parts of the assembly with zoomed views that were appreciated. It felt good to break away from all the toothpicks most other builds have. This is a really cool gift for people who like puzzles and assembling stuff. It is not easy to assemble, there are many tiny little parts and it will take 5-6 hours to put it together but for those who like that kind of work, the process is enjoyable. Very well designed model. I am astounded at the quality of the materials this is made from. I just finished assembling mine. I took my time and it took about 4 hours to assemble. All of the pieces come lazer scored and numbered and you have to pop them out of the sheets of wood. There are lots of pieces and some very small pieces and I didnt break any popping them out of the sheet. They include PLENTY of extra wood pieces in case they do break though. I bought this on kind of a whim thinking it will be fun to show my 3 year old great grandson when he comes to visit next month. I've worked with both wood and plastic models so figured it would not be a problem to assemble. The pieces all come on die or laser cut sheets, very accurately cut and none were cracked or broken. While there are a few steps that are somewhat challenging, most of the assembly is easy. The parts can be separated from the sheets with little pressure. Putting the parts together is usually easy and don't require a lot of force. The important part of assembling these puzzles is to throughly examine the images and pay close attention to images with exclamation marks next to them. In addition to a base, support structures and multiple marble ramps, the marble run is made of up three complex subassemblies: a hand cranked gear mechanism, an escalator mechanism and a stacked ramp mechanism with swing gates.
