Well pleased with my new T shirt . Had quite a few good comments. Great programme, fantastic blade details. If your stumped for an idea, how about my diving knife. Cheers. Clarkie.

This made a 12 year old budding blacksmith/welder VERY happy this Christmas! He put it on immediately and his parents said he'd probably never take it off. LOL Thank you for a great product!

It’s great. It’s a square circle rounding hammer that fits on a key ring. I am really excited for the full size ones to be back in stock. I think they will be more useful for hammering.

For my first couple of years in my smithy, I used a 75# Trenton anvil and it was a good starter anvil. However, I had no idea what a difference doubling the weight of an anvil had on moving steel. It literally "pushes back" on the steel more consistently. The way the anvil is dressed is perfect, too, and saved me a lot of effort. I just had to cut and level a stump and then mate the two. (I'm cheating for now by just using wood screws threw the board it came mounted to into the stump.) Further,...

Very well done for gen 1!!! I'm not one to post a review 2 minutes after receiving a product. But Alex Steel Co. Nearly nailed this one! A few things that I would like to see in the next gen version would be a few more colors (blue denim, brown, and maybe olive), move or narrow the two belt loops closest to the fly because it makes it difficult when using a stiffer belt (load bearing/gun) to thread the loop. I also love the extra fabric designed into the crotch and legs does allow for extra ...

As soon as I pulled these belts out of the box, I could tell their quality was far superior to the belts I had previously used. They removed material quickly and lasted twice as long. I will definitely be making another order in the future.

I’ve been a fan of Alec Steele for awhile so wanting to show support I bought this key chain and when I received it in the mail I was glad I got it because I love it. It’s a lot stronger than I thought it would be so I don’t have to worry about it breaking in my pocket so if you are thinking about getting this keychain I highly recommend it.

Loved the design of the T-shirt and bought one when they first came out. Went to buy one recently and the postage cost were absolutely ridiculous, but now sense has prevailed and so I’ve bought two more. Did forging as part of my apprenticeship many many years ago and haven’t beaten steel since and regretted it. Keep up the good work.

I am doing my happy dance about this anvil.!! It was well worth the wait. UPS dropped it off at my front door, and I hauled the box to my shop and opened the package. The packaging was impressive to say the least. Styrofoam blocks protected the goods from outside forces from all directions and the machined surfaces were protected with paper products. A web strap was included to help move the box around and lift the anvil out of the box. Packaging was very well thought out. The anvil was i...

Definitely a quality/well made Anvil - well packed & appreciate that it came with a carrying strap. Photo includes 100,000,000 year old Red Dinosaur Bone & a piece of raw Japanese Tamahagnae Steel.

I purchased the Gibson 72 Deluxe package and found the process very easy. Delivery was timely and without incident. I had a question regarding the footprint of the grinder and it was answered quickly via e-mail. The grinder is well built, solid, tight tolerances and is easy to work with. The only complaint, no manual or documentation comes with the unit. The grinder is pretty much already assembled and adding the accessories is pretty intuitive but a manual listing parts and pieces would be hand...

The file guide is just what I needed. Years ago when I started bladesmithing, I made my own from 1095 flat stock and a couple machine screws. And, although it was close, there was always some tweaking to do when it came to the final fit with the tang. This file guide is spot on and the ease of use with the allen screws is awesome.

Despite being in a different country, the service and general atmosphere created by the Alec Steele Co Shop felt like going to your local shop and having a chat with old friends over a coffee or a beer. Couldn't have been easier, and they couldn't have been more helpful! Thanks guys.

Buying this grinder has boosted my bladesmithing abilities beyond my expectations. The versatility of this machine makes transitioning between contact wheels so easy. I can’t think of a single thing I would do differently. Best $2000 I’ve ever spent!

Been making knives for a few years and within the last year started using these 3M Cubitron belts for my 2x72. These are just amazing. These last much longer than many other brands I have tried. I have found that the 80 grit is a good middle of the road grit when grinding in bevels, especially on smaller knives. 36 grit would be more for some of the large choppers I make. I can't say enough about these belts. They are top of the line when you are serious about knife making. Get some now. ...

This file guide is just the ticket. I love the carbide faces, they are super resilient. I used them with my belt grinder and so far they haven't been marred at all. Well made, I love that the slide pins can be used for parallel blades or removed for non parallel objects. Well done!

Duluth Trading Co. Firehose cargos were what I wore for years, but they started skimping on the material. The pocket layout was incredibly important, my everyday carry requires that each cargo pocket has two smaller pockets inside. There weren't any other pants I could find that were built out of a highly durable fabric and had the pockets I required. A friend tipped me off on these pants. First impressions: The fabric is thick and heavy. That's what I'm looking for, there are plenty of "light...

The Steele pants have been my shop pants for a year and they are great! I just ordered the espresso pants, but the size I ordered didn't fit as expected. The Steele Co. shop responded the next day with a return label to make sure I got the right fit! The pants are durable for shop use, the belt loops are extra wide and hold up great. The pockets are great for tools, and snap nicely. The pants are well worth the cost, the customer service is great, and I would recommend getting these pants to...

My favourite work trousers. Definitely made to last, bagger than I'm used to I would have liked them to be 20% thinner legged but it's a thick material so this means they don't hinder movement or bending down. Definitely worth the money and I like the look.

These are a huge improvement over the hand me down tongs I was using before. Just an FYI, they swing as right hand tongs, perfect for left hand dominant smiths.

Love the pants, you need to wash it first. And the pants need a couple of days on you to fit well. At first they are a bit stiff and tight but upon wearing they get more souple and the fitment is great. Deeeeeeep pockets for all you pencils and tape measures

This pairing knife was a lot of fun to build. I recommend this to anyone who is one the fence about knife making. Made with a cheap 1x30 belt grinder and sandpaper on small 2x4 scraps for a sandpaper block. Excited for the next buildaknifebox! Maybe a chefs knife?

I want to express my sincere gratitude for your effort in in getting me this anvil. I have been looking for an anvil for a few years and about a year ago I decided to go with a brand spanking new one and I felt that yours was the best. the anvil is great and am glad I was able to purchase it. The casting and smoothing of the horn and striking surface is first class. I mounted the anvil on 2.5" x 3/16" wall thickness square tubing both for the base and the legs. I welded 4 pieces together for the base, closed both ends and fitted one end with 4 bolts to be able to add sand, the legs were filled with sand and after bolting the anvil onto the base, I filled the base with sand as well. There is no ring on the striking surface ...

I work with kydex and this grinder is amazing! It has a nice flat platen to help get everything perfect on sheaths, holsters and whatever else im making. My 1x30 died and I didn’t want to cheap out again, but im also limited on space. This is the perfect size. Definitely recommend this 100%

The Steele 2x72 is a fantastic grinder! The motor has more than enough power to get through whatever you need and the VFD allows for all the adjustment you could want. It was well worth the wait and you cant beat the price for what you get. Set up wasn't too difficult, the assembly video is more helpful than the .pdf instructions. Its a 220v motor so make sure so don't have only 110 in your shop.

While I'm not even close to being a Blacksmith, I've been following Alec for years and love the sentiment. In IT things often are not documented and in a crisis you have to try things that seem stupid, like slamming the sweet spot on an old MAC to make a sticking hard drive spin. (It worked and we where able to get the data off.) As long as it's not dangerous it's never stupid if it works!

Secret pockets for this that and the other an she'll never find a thing. The sizing, the rise the whole contraptions' Buckaroo ready. Can't wait for the Palomino version!

Very happy with the size after washing and the post break in comfort. Material seems sturdy enough, seams feel strong, belt loops are rugged. Deep pockets are good strong feature, cargo pockets are best I've had (typically not a fan). Would make them my go to work pant if future models had double front/knee pad insert pockets.

These pants are simple AMAZING!!!!! They are heavy and will keep you warm when it's cold (Day to day wearing). I am NOT a metalsmith by any means. I fell down 5 stairs and ripped my knee open.... the jeans were unharmed. Alec has been testing theses for a few year and they came out FANTASTIC!!!!! I will be purchasing more!!!!

I've had a good few hours on this anvil so far, and I'm extremely pleased with its performance. Rebound is nice, the surface holds up fantastically, even the ring sounds better than my old anvil (albeit that comparison may not be saying much). It has pretty much everything I like to see in an anvil, and the only downside are the sharp corners on the heel, where I've bumped into it once or twice and got a nice rip on my pants, which was fixed in about 30 seconds with a file. I was skeptical abo...
