I have the riverside carbide guide. This one is better. The carbides are smaller but this gives better view when grinding the plunge. Quality product.

Overall excellent quality, feels a little tight for the size but is ok. One little thing is when I go to grab something out of the front pocket my fingernail sometimes catches on the seam where the lower pocket intersects...kinda bent my fingernail back but Im sure it will get better when they wear in a bit.

The pants look great, but they don't fit me as I wished they would. They are my 32/32 by weist and leangth, but the cut is very wide on me. Haven't washed them yet and maybe they'd get more worked in with time. By comparison to my kinda old Rugged Flex 103340 carhartt they are not as comfortable and less equipped. I ordered them a size larger in the waist, still a good fit. I do hope after several trips through the laundry, they soften up. They are stiff enough to stand up on their own. Lol. Good quality though. No more ruining my work jeans while making my blades.

I own both the Sheep Foot and Hunter Recurve kits. I'm sure they are wonderful, however, I am waiting for Alec's "coming soon" how-to video as stated on the product page. One of these will be my first knife. I like Alec's teaching style and would like to see how he approaches this project. If it takes too long, I will switch to another source and go from there.
