This 20W laser is a must have! Speeds up the process and extends the ability of my 5W laser. Etchs and cut 5-6oz leather with no problem and in one process, speeding up my hobby in a big way. Also etches wood absolutely remarkable. Many more thing to try if I only had the time!

I get clean cuts on 3 mm basswood with one pass at 100% power and 7mm / sec speed. It cuts through 1/4” pine cleanly at 100% power and 4 mm/ sec in 2 passes, and it cuts through 1/2” oak at 100% power and 4 mm/sec in 3-4 passes. Next I added the air assist compressor and that minimized the burns on the surfaces around the cuts. Overall I am, at this point very happy with what I have. I would advise perspective buyers to go directly to the 50 watt laser head and not ever try the 20 watt.

I ended up using 160 Watts power with one pass to ensure it was cut. Cut out some desk top signs that sold out so I'll be ordering more! When light passes trough it it casts a great shadow pattern on nearby walls, etc..

I have been etching Glass for 6 years with 5 watt laser using Nail Polish that has tiny metal flakes. The 5 watt laser pulses at 8 pulses per mm pitting the Glass as it hits the flakes. It used to take hours. Now with the 90 watt I can run 100% at 60 to 80mm/sec and what used to take hours now takes 2 to 15 min. That's right 2 minutes for the 3 1/2 long name in the mug picture.

The laser is all 5 stars. It has its own software where you can just open a pic, select a few easy to understand options, set zero on your part, and press go. It can burn on wood, plastic, Stainlees steel, glass, ceramic and leather with impressive accuracy. I found it can also burn through (some brands of) adheisive vinyl without burning the paper backing, making it a vinyl cutter for decals and signage. Bonus!

Very easy to use. Unboxed, plugged in one wire, downloaded the app and then connected to power. App found the device immediately. First attempt went well, I have tinkered with speed, power and sizing because I am a first time beginner. You will want to hold your material steady and your machine. The machine vibrates as it works. You’ll see the partial image separate from the image it currently working on, but I’m very happy with this little thing.

This little laser was a pleasant surprise. It does beautiful work engraving and far exceeded my expectations. The software is a bit limited but with working around using some other software to get my images to be in a format that works with the laser it performs very well and is capable of very fine detail even on a very small image.

First time purchased Laser Engraver Machine, and I really enjoy using this Machine. Simple and handy to using this laser, just download the app on my laptop and set the laser machine about 8 inch away from the metal. I used many times on many things, like paper, wood, leather and this laser worked on all those metals. But always safety first, I always put the goggles on when I use this machine to protect my eyes.

The engraving done with the Universal "Blue Laser" came out great, I'm very impressed
with the accuracy and detail of the engraving. Worth every penny. I am working on getting better with my images, but so far it is doing a great job. If I could make a Suggestion, it would be to have longer wiring. I bought the 20”x 24” model and the wiring lays over the print area. I am trying to figure out some wire management so it won’t accidentally burn through while doing a large piece.

Love the machine! Did my research before ordering so i knew what i was getting. This is just the frane of a DIY laser engraving machine. Putting it together is a bit taxing but just take a deep breath and keep your cool. You can flash grbl 1.1f on the mana se board so finding a better software was easy since it is an open build. I am useing laserweb 4 and it is working great. The seller worked with me lots since the delivery company lost track of it but hey it happens thank you Data GR!
