It's connected to the computer as the program operates and gives you click to jog and he laser preview button is awsome. This is as good as it gets for quality! You could even mount it to a wall if you wanted. Soon will order router and rotatory attachment for more functionality.

The engraver by universal engraver is interesting, quite large. Collected a person familiar with production. It took about an hour to assemble. In general, in the form in which he comes, the engraver is quite toy. Tried to engrave on veneer, plywood, composite sheet (yellow). We plan to deliver radiators, stationary cooler, power supply is more powerful (someone advised in the comments below). We will try the skin, leatherette, cardboard-add to the review.

I bought the 15000mW setup, it took about 30 mins to put together while watching the video on youtube. Everything came packaged securely and was easy to unpack. I tried lightburn and lasergrbl and both are easy to operate. I was burning attached images same day. I really enjoy this machine and it is fairly priced.

Software - This comes with GRBL Laser. It is a freeware software. It is pretty good for what it does. There are a lot of settings, but not much in terms of directions. I spent a bit of time with trying out different settings. Hardware - This is what you are paying for. It is very accurate and powerful. All in all I'm very happy and would buy it again.

I have been using this engraver for a while now and love it! the video-based instructions were adequate. There is certainly a bit of a learning curve, but I have been using T2 for controlling the engraver and have been very happy with it. Overall, I am very happy with the value and quality.

It's very well designed and built. They have looked after the details. All the lead screws are lubricated, the packaging was done with care and both the package and the product are well designed and sturdy. Love it! Works straight out of the box. Currently engraving everything I can get my hands on. currently engraving my wife's sewing box with it. the great thing about this laser is that you can place it on anything of any size and engrave it. For the price you pay it is well worth buying!

Setup took ~2 hours, about what I would expect from a kit like this. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. The software setup worked out of the box, but a few of the 'tweaks' to optimize it were unclear and took some digging. Laser burns quite well, love the large burn area and the fact that I can actually set this on top of larger projects(like a table top) to burn.

it works great once assembled and you figure out how to make it work. It is really good at engraving line drawings/ text with the software together with the engraver which imports .jpg, .jpeg, .dxf, .png and .nc files and works with GRBL commands. In general though, it's done everything I was expecting and hoping that it would! Really a great thing to have.

All the more I was amazed how clean and clear everything was packed, all the small parts were stored . The operating instructions are written in good English. You'll need to experiment with which settings are right for which material, but once that's found out, you can create them. So far, I've tried the cardboard and foam they came with, paper, wood and acrylic. Works well.
