The B-52pro is a fantastic machine! We put it in a room that only has 8-ft ceilings which is why we went with the B-52 instead of the b17. One thing I'd note is the b52 has a two-to-one pulley ratio whereas the b17 does do both which is a huge upgrade. That said, I think this machine would be perfect for just about anybody who is looking for an all-in-one trainer. I bought the B52 with bench and bumper plate package as the primary piece of equipment in my new home gym. It’s amazing and very much worth the money. I don’t think there’s a single muscle group I can’t work with this machine. I did upgrade to the weight stack which is also well worth the money. Put this bad boy together over the weekend and am IN LOVE. Took me a solid day because I didn’t have any power tools, but my husband was able to watch our baby while mommy put together her B52 and it was so fun! Solid piece of equipment. I have an older style Major Lutie SML07 I bought in December of 2023. We loved it but thought it was time to upgrade to the weight stacks. I ordered the stack and pulley bundle for the B52 along with the weight stack pin extender. I should've asked some questions prior to the order as the bars for the weights are closer together than the plate loaded setup of the SML07 (my fault so no deduction on review). There were a couple times where I had my daughter hold a piece up for me while I inserted the bolts. Otherwise I did not have any issue setting it up or any hardware missing. I have been eyeing this cage for months, continuously coming back to it. I finally bought it and I'm so happy I did. Nothing beats the gym vibe it's giving my garage, and the option to just walk a few feet and have it there for me to use is unparalleled. Assembly was straightforward and the unit goes together well. All the parts fit. I had no issues with holes not lining up. My only advice is there are 6 bolts that come up from the bottom. Each page of the instructions warns not to tighten anything until assembly is complete. My unit is on a padded exercise floor and by the time it was completely together there was no easy way to tighten those bolts. The B52 Pro functional trainer is a very solid all-in-one home gym. My son and I assembled it in about 7 hours. I highly recommend watching a YouTube assembly video while following the manual—it makes some steps much easier. One important tip: decide exactly where you want it before installing the weight stacks. Once assembled and loaded, it’s extremely heavy and very difficult to move.
