Just received my B52 Smith Machine last week and put it together today. I put it together by myself (even though it recommends two people), and it wasn't bad at all! securing the pullup section was the hardest part by far. The directions were easy to follow other then a few parts being mislabeled. The packing slip and part list differed from the instructional manual on a few steps. Took about 6-8 hrs ish to put together and had prepped the space to put it up before it arrived. Pieces are made well and unit feels sturdy and built to last. Packaging was great, and the assembly directions were easy to follow. I did need the rubber mallet (and silicone spray) to insert the guard rails - not sure why it needs to be so tight but it worked out. I needed a hammer to drive the bolts through the tubes that attach the two foot plates. A mallet can’t fit in the space to reach them. It has been about 6 months with this power rack and I cannot recommend it enough. It feels sturdy when racking weights and is the cable system moves great. All of the attachments it comes with are awesome. I especially love the dip bars. The height of the pull up bar is just high enough for me to reach on my tip toes (I'm 5'9), which makes it perfect for loaded sets. The only things I wonder about are the two front blue colored vertical bars which actually just sit on the bottom rests and are held in place by V-shaped metal plates. Honestly, this rack exceeded my expectations. For the price, including 230 pounds of weights and attachments, you really can’t go wrong. The barbell is good quality, as are the plates.
