This thing is awesome! I bought a new bass with Gotoh tuners, so adding this was a simple no brainer. A quick switch of the key, a simple 10 minute install, and now I'm drop D and back with the flip of the lever. It couldn't be simpler and I couldn't be happier. I am considering adding one to all of my basses.

I use Hipshot bass extenders on all my 4 string basses. They install quickly without any modifications. They are very easy to adjust, and they stay in tune really well. I've purchased other hipshot products, all are of the highest quality and perfect fit.

I have two of these. They are great. I use one in standard and another half step down (low C#). Makes the basses more versatile and does it well. They stay in tune consistently. I’ve got these on a Fender Player Series P Bass and Fender American Professional II. 11/10 would buy again. The only downside was the wait. The kick ass was a perfect drop in replacement for the stock bridge on my Washburn T-24. It took only minutes to install, and it was an instant improvement. Easy to intonate, although, it was a bit tight to get a screwdriver between the end of the string and the recess in the bridge, maybe allen head screws could be the answer. Love the adjustability, recessed screws, and the rounded corners. My old bridge had height adjustment screws that stuck up and always annoyed me.

I am in the process of up grading everything on my bass and bought these tunners along with the hipshot bridge.Everything I looked and said need to drill out the tunner hole to 9/16 of an inch. DO NOT DO THIS FIRST. I bought hand creamer and gave each about 4 turns wit moderate pressure and the bushings feel right into place. Ii really like the the way they look and how smooth they are. I will post pics when I am completely done.

These came stock on my Birdsong bass and eleven years later they still look and work like new. They’re very smooth and absolutely reliable … ie the bass never goes out of tune (except for temp variations affecting the strings of course). Brilliant product.

One of the best upgrade decisions I’ve made. I put this on a cheap RG I got back in 2007 and holy cow. The increase in sustain and clarity is unreal. Went with the black and gold and it looks badass. Love it!

Just installed these tuners today and they are a huge upgrade from the stock tuners on my Ibanez RGA42FM. After breaking in the strings and tuning up it holds tuning so well. If this is any proof that I should upgrade the tuners to my 7-string in the future to Hipshot there is no doubt in my mind that I will. Installation went so quickly and was a no brainer, took me about 10 minutes and I was ready to play, how awesome is that?! 10/10 would purchase again. Now i'm curious about the bridges!

have a A style on my 5 string (chrome) and a A style on my 6 string (black). really good bridge makes the strings nice and springy. good response would recommend them to any one.

One came on my Strat plus. When I first saw it on the guitar in the store, as and engineer, I instantly knew what it was designed to do and thought it was brilliant. The salesman offered to take it off and replace it with a traditional spring. I refused and explained the tremsetter. He asked if I knew how to adjust it & I didn’t but I thought the company would have instructions. It was better. They had a step by step video. It is flawless.

I'm not noticing any of the increased sustain or improved tone that others mention, but dang this thing is so much better than the stock bridge on my Epiphone Thunderbird. I can finally intonate the thing properly, and the action is quite a bit lower now as well. That helps me out tons! Looks really cool too. Highly recommended. A great product.

Got this thing about a year ago and I love it! Looks great, sounds great. Much better to adjust than your standard bridge and you don't need to worry about the saddles slipping. The only issue I have is the saddle corners can be a bit pointy, so watch your technique if you're using a pick as you can poke or scratch yourself a bit if you get carried away.

Ok, so I’ve had the tone-a-Matic on the SG for about two weeks. It’s a bit hard to assess because I was going from a bigsby with a roller bridge and I added a kluson JG stop bar at the same time - it’s solid brass and screwed down flush with the body. Godin solidac . The guitars been a dream since I first saw it. The tuners were terrible though. I did a lot of research because my head stocks a bit thick. 15mm I believe. These went in so easy and work amazing so far. Turns out my holes are curved as well. I was a bit worried but they still installed easily and play great.

Got a Roasted Maple Neck for my Telecaster thinline and didn't want to risk drilling the pilot holes for the screws so this griplock system was a perfect choice. I wish they offered an open back 18:1 ratio gridlock set, but I hadn't seen it or missed it if they do. I'll definitely be getting more of these sets going forward.

An ideal direct fit for a Yamaha BB734a, although the 'Regular' key is still a few millimetres shorter than the existing key it replaced, which isn't a problem really as it does what I want it to do. I'd have thought there might be a bit more of a difference than a smidge under 3mm between the Regular and Short keys.

The pearl tulip buttons look stunning on my Les Paul Grover tuners. Like so many others I prefer them over the bean shaped ones. Thanks to all the reviewers before me to share their photos and experiences on Grover tuners. These Hipshot tuners are the only ones that look good and actually fit. It turned out to be pretty hard to find a dealer in Europe, but did manage to find one in the end.

I strongly doubted the stability of all vintage-style bridges with 6 screws until the day I tried yours. I still can't believe it since I installed it on my Squier ST-335. The tuning stability is just as solid as on my guitar with your other US Contour tremolo! I highly recommend you to produce a model with the vintage 6-screw spacing (2 7/32") and modern string spacing (2 1/16"). Thank you for your great work!

Great bridge, solid design and construction. Beats the pants off bent steel saddles. While the bridge itself is excellent and most likely the best one in its price range , beware that all fenders are not made equally. Newer necks “post vintage” and bodies seem to have variances in pocket depth and neck thickness. Be prepared to measure everything before and possibly shave a neck pocket down. A shallow vintage neck pocket of 5/8” might mean the saddles can’t be adjusted high enough to compensa...

Absolutley Fantastic Bridge. Love it. very high quality parts. Very comfortable to play with my palm against the bridge. Very easy to install, And yes, you can install it on a non ibanez bridge in place of a hipshot style bridge. Just need to get it straight and drill new holes for the strings to come through. Sounds great and is ridiculously easy to install. I can now change the string gauge or tuning without it feeling like pulling teeth. My Thunderbird went from being a thorn in my side to being my favourite instrument. The resonance is absolutely insane compared to before. Even just grazing the strings makes them ring like a bell.
